We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

S - SOME SPECIAL STITCHES
Posted On 11/23/2017 23:10:09 by yourchoice
Stitches... different forms that I learned to do. Some I mastered, some were terrible, and some I only experienced.Embroidery stitches were common when I was a child. My mother taught me the running stitch, the chain stitch, the French knot (to name a few), and she would iron a stencil design of flowers on a pillow case or a flour sack tea towel to give a personal touch. They were a good place for me to practice what I was learning. My mother also tried to teach me how to knit, the European sty... Read More

H - Hobbies
Posted On 11/01/2017 19:08:53 by chillipepper
H – hobbies I guess that most people have a Hobby or had hobbies during their life. I know of exceptions where folk are not and have not indulged in this rewarding pastime. It just has never interested them. I have always found these people to continually say that they are bored, time drags………I guess I’m crazy but I don’t understand this as I just don’t have enough hours in the day to accomplish all that I want to do and have always been that way.The main hobbies that I concentrate... E - Ed’s Enjoyable Evenings
Posted On 08/09/2017 21:52:58 by yourchoice
We’ve had a great summer… at home. The health challenges that both my husband and I experienced this spring seem to have “given up”, and we’re doing well. We’ve experienced a late spring, a few weeks of very hot summer days with no rain, and massive forest fires in the Rocky Mountains that send us lots of smoke. We’ve enjoyed house guests, short weekend trips to the town where Ed and I met 55 years ago, to visit very dear friends, and some city guys who often come to visit with E... Read More

K – Knitting for the Kids
Posted On 08/29/2015 23:20:19 by yourchoice
As long as I can remember, my Mom and some of my aunts would have their bag of knitting with them wherever they went. They could always do a few rows... or a lot of rows as they had some sit-down time, with friends over a cup of tea, or in their own kitchen as they waited for the bread to rise, or the cake, baking in the oven, was ready for the next step. There was always a project or two started and needing to be finished; woolen work socks for the men, warm scarves for the ladies, and mitts fo... Read More

Chatting pays off ... sometimes!
Posted On 08/07/2014 17:43:22 by yourchoice

Today has been my day at home before our planned weekend of fun ... at least fun for my hubby. I had to keep my attention on my To-Do List, because even the 'normal' activities here have been neglected. Summers are a busy time and we still have another month to go before the children are back to school.
Our plans for the weekend are to attend the 45th Annual Show and Reunion at Pioneer Acres in Irricana, Alberta. Being that I'm married to a 'tractor man',... Read More
