Lock down reflection.

During these uncertain times that has forced us all to slow down, staying at home . I've had alot of time to reflect on what is truly important to me. My family, being able to spend time to laugh and eat together because when I'm working we can only be together at night  after my work.   Enjoying the beauty of the earth , swimming  ,going to our sorroundings  ,harvesting vegetables from our gardens and cooking .  Also  Praying , reading books , watching a movies with my nephew and nieces  and telling stories that made them Smiles.

All things that I so easily take for  granted before because of my busy schedules in my clinic. Being disconnected has made me realized just how interconnected we truly are. And how much of life finds meaning from these connections. Missing relatives and friends , now even though we cant spend physical time together with our loved ones and friends, I take time  to send them a message, let them know how much I care them, check in with how they're feeling. Just because we're apart, doesnt mean we can't come together. I missed them all .  Thank you so much for reading.

Sending you all a virtual hugs.

Hi Mona , sometimes we ignored the special people in our lives because of so busy at work. Now I tried to keep in touch and enjoying the time with my family.  What a great feeling to be with  them , helping Mom to cook our favorite spaghetti with shrimp and tomato sauce. Also I find time to open the old christmas and birthday cards with inspiring wishes .  I enjoyed reading it but  was thinking if they are safe.   This crisis taught us to be more closer to each other. God bless you. Hugs

Thank you for putting your thoughts into words, giving us all great reminders of the "simple things in life", that are often neglected or ignore because of being "too busy"! I have been spending a lot of time on my phone, on my computer, and in my own quietness ... and what I miss the most is greeting friends and neighbors with a smile and a hug! "Bumping elbows" just doesn't do it for me! I also miss the conversations at our favorite 'diner' ... and look forward to resuming that. Relearning some cooking 'skills' have been a bit of a challenge, but it has also been fun! No room for complaints here!
