Colors vs black/white
Posted On 08/24/2024 08:35:33 by Altara33606

Maybe it's my creative side, but I really prefer "colors" vs Black/white, no matter what it's "on". It's fine with me, if others like that. But not me.  I also prefer colored lights on my Christmas trees! To me, having all 'white' lights makes it just too dull. And yes, when possible I also prefer 'twinkling'.

I recently read a story about a woman whose home was 'beige/tan/white', etc.  She refused to have any 'colors' in her decorating theme. That sounds so dull to me!!

So, obviously, when I design my pages here, you can expect to see a lot of color--from backgrounds to graphics!

As a designer I must say color all the way .. I do not have a plain white or beige wall in my house. That would be just boring The only thing that I prefer in black and white is file noir genre.

It was in the early 1940s, that film noir, such as some of my favorites came along ... The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, Double Indemnity, Brief Encounter and Laura, began to appear. The films of the 1940s reflected the disillusionment felt in the country at the end of the war. I just can't imagine watching these films in color.

Yeah. I agree.  What a dull world it would be without the varied colors.

As to nightfall's staement on old black and white films. Overall, it was a mony thing but I lso think some of the movies gave off a more intense feeling in black and white.  JMO(Kust my opinion)

I hear ya, I love colors. However a lot of the very old shows I watch are in black and white. I think it was a money thing at the time. I also agree the colored lights on the Christmas tree is the way to go.
