My emergency contact is Cascade.
She and I became friends when
we both joined the same group.
We've talked to each other via
messages and emails.
Cascade is a very knowledgeable
person, takes classes on subjects
that interest her and does a lot of
reading for those classes. I'm
enjoying my new friendship with her.

I love peace and quiet. I'm happiest when I'm home, either cooking or reading. It seems as if I have to be gone much more than I'd like to be, but there is always something to do that takes me away from home.

For over 50 years my late husband and I had collected antique salt shakers. He and I have a nice collection, which will soon go up for auction since I now live in an assisted living facility. These are not novelty shakers, they are Victorian art glass, late 1800's and some are extremely expensive. I don't buy any longer, they've almost become price prohibitive. I belong to a national collectors club and each year he and I had gone to the annual convention.
