This may come as a surprise all you pet lovers -- dead turkeys do not make good pets.

Did you know that a dead turkey requires more care than a living cat and almost as much care as a living dog? Cats are pretty good at almost any temperature that people are OK with -- whereas dogs are a little more touchy. Dogs seem to do better when it's cooler. Holiday Plans

I'm enjoying a day off again today from my nursing job.  I have a fairly fixed schedule that alternates over a two week period.  I usually work 3 days on, then have 2 days off.  I have to work tomorrow and Friday, then will have the weekend off.  It's not too bad, and at least I can make some plans ahead of time that way.
