It looks like Christmas is over and Santa is celebrating in a warmer climate somewhere. How about you?
What a wonderful surprise! I sure hope you got just what you wanted and if not at least just what you needed.
Even 100 years ago most kids got just what they wanted. Boy, what they wanted was surely different back then though wasn't it?
Times have changed. Even just a few years ago, people made an effort to get to Church on Christmas Eve, no matter what, where, or weather. Reminiscing on the year 2022 is done...
We are nearing the end of December and the end of 2022. I hope the whole month of December was magic for you and that you enjoyed it to the fullest. As we start a new year, I hope you are ready for the best year of your life. I am excited to be off until Tuesday, January 3rd. I should find out that week how much longer I will be working, probably only a couple more weeks. I'll let you know soon.
I hope you are just enjoying the view with a hot cup of coffee in your hand. I don't think I will be going on a picnic any time soon. I would not even go outside and get the mail if we didn't have to check on the chickens next door and get their mail. Ok, now you see the real me drinking hot coffee all day long.
Whether big or little... whether snow or glow... The moment you start acting like life is a Blessing it starts feeling like one. I hope your day is full of joy and love.
Do you hear something? Could it be Santa bringing me a bicycle? Or is it the boy and his dog from down the street? I hope it isn't that silly calf from the field behind our house. What do you want this year?
Do wrap up warm, Cheryl, when you go outside and try to avoid being lost in a snowbank (tee-hee). Hope you're enjoying the Christmas spirit. (((Hugs)))
Is your Christmas tree inside or outside or both? If you love to decorate and DIY, here is a cute decoration for Christmas, seperated or stacked up with a hat on top. Cat lover or Dog lover, we all have our upside down clowns in the family. Wishing you and your family the merriest of Christmas with family and friends. Thank you Jesus for all my friends as you shower them with Blessings.
good morning Cheryl, that wind is rough I know! Not as bad here buti it's quite cold and windy. Have a wonderful Christmas and stay warm! huggies from me,
WELL... I know we are not the coldest place right now but our temperature dropped 25° in 10 minutes. We started at above 50° this morning and we are now 14° feels like -4°. We have had 40-50 MPH winds with a steady 25 mph or higher. And bubba, for Texas, this is extra cold for December as we are usually 50° to about 82° on Christmas. Even in late January and February we are not this cold. In Mexico City it is 72° right now, as it is just about year round! Did I mention that I don't like cold weather? When I got home from work today, we took warm water to the chickens next door (babysitting them) as their water is FROZEN and will be until sometime hopefully on Sunday. At least I am off until Tuesday. Only 87 days, 6 hours, 44 minutes and 21 seconds until SPRING... but who's counting.
Wow Cheryl - you sure have some mean temperatures! It gets cold her but never down to zero! Yes, I'd be putting up blankets over windows expeciall where the AC is. Isn't there a way you could seal up around the unit? I know it would be too expensive to replace your windows but you can get some of the stuff at places like home depot or Lowe that you put over your widows and seal the edges witha hair dryer and you can still see thru them. I;ve used that in the pat in my home in Jersey. Check it out - I'm sure it'll help. It's a rainy cloudy day here but temps aren't too bad but will drop a lot by tomorrow as we are on our way up north to go home. Have a blesed day, dress warm!!! Hugs, Wendy
Your page is so cute Cheryl - you should have done this a while ago so you could have entered the contest. I don't envy you a bit with that kind of weather but it's comng our way with rain tomorrow and then when we leave to go up North it's gonna be icy. If only we had know this weather was gonna happen, we would have left tomorrow. But who knew??? I stopped to see if the girl could do a pedicure on me, but she didn't work there anymore and things were slow so they took me right then and there. I needed it badly so I did it. Then stopped at the department store and only got foundation and a red listick then left - didn't find anything for Rich. Since it was late we ordered chinese for dinner. You have the right idea about taying inside as it will be dangerous for anyone to be outside. Today was the winter soltice - the first day of winter. Keep warm
