Hey Cheryl - how was your day today? Mine was kinds good. Went to a new dollar tree/family tree store that opend here in Camden. It's nice that another store is opened here in town and it will give dollar general a bit of competition. All the shelves were filled. I know I'll be back - only picked up a new Christmas rug for the kitchen sink and some cereal. Made a few too many trips upstairs to get Chritmas decorations and now I can hardly walk and in a lot of pain. We are playing dominos on Sat nite as we are leaving Sunday morn to go to Jersey to attend my brother in laws funeral on Mon then heading home on Tue. Wish we could stay longer but Rich has two doctor appointments he needs to go to. I had to cancel my ortho appointment as we'll be soming home that day. i waited for 3 months for it and now it won't be till the 31st of Jan. Who know how long I'll have to wait for surgery, if that's what he thinks. Hope you'll have a good Friday and for the weekend too. Hugs Wendy
What should I do on my day off? Color my hair? Check! Oh, I know - It's time to change my nails!
Even though we are 76° today and very cloudy again, I think it is time to take the Fall colors off. Ok, they were falling off and chipping because they have been on since a week before Thanksgiving.
So now it is time for Christmas and wrapping packages. What do you think? All I do is put presents in a bag, not wrap! How about you?
We only had 2 hours of sunshine this week and not much more than that last week. Even the Christmas Cactus is looking for sunshine.
I am doing much better Cheryl, thanks for asking. Likewise, I hope you get over you cold quickly. They usually last about 10 days or so. Are you taking anything for it? Heard from my sister yesterday ssaying her husband had a stroke, they operated on him and the doctor said things look promising. He knew everyone and then had another masive strok sometime today. Doesn't look good. So we might be gong up to Jersey sooner than Christmas. I'll let you know something when we know. I didn't do anything tody just sat around most of the day not doing a whole lot. Did end up making a turkey casserole after looking for a recipe for a while. I finally gave up and just winged it. Turned out good except it could have used a little more liquid. Have a good evening Cheryl. Hugs, Wendy
I am so overwhelmed at all the Birthday wishes... I can never remember to look at the birthday list and then to get to your page on the right day. I'm bad. I don't know how to act but I am sharing my Birthday Cake with each of you for your birthday whenever it is. It isn't really mine but I couldn't resist! However, the arrangement is mine. My dear friend, Paula, sent it to me from The Flower Box in Rockwall. She and I used to run and play and go dancing in Corpus Christi before Robert and I met. Friends Forever! I am so BLESSED to have so many new and long time friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sorry no posts yesterday but I was ill. My honey had his Masonic Lodgedinner last nite and I was so sick I couldn't even stay for dinner. It started earlier in the afternoon and I had to force myself to get dressed. All I did when I got there was hold my head and knew I couldn't eat so I went out to the truck and laid down. I slept til he came out when it was over - 1 1/2hrs. Slept alot today too but am feeling a bit better. Hope you had a good weekend. Supposed to rain tomorrow - no plans. Have a good start to the new week.
Remember it is all about your Perspective!!! Thank you for the "get well" wishes. It is back to work tomorrow, probably for another month or two. So today is shower, laundry and lots of other necessary stuff to survive... you know what I mean.
Oh my! I haven't even been here to read your posts and yet you kept sending precious things to me. What a blessing! It was a rough week. Several close friends have major problems in their life and I have cried on and off all week. It was also a busy week at work. Then during my Thanksgiving break, I developed a sinus infections. I have been fighting to keep it out of my chest. So... thank you for being my
