Love all your cats. I have had: 2 Siamese, 1 (perceptually handicapped) Burmese, 1 pure black alley cat and3 Moggies. They all had one thing in common - they did their own thing and paid no nevermind to me. Hugs, Anne
The fun isn't over yet. Every day is a new adventure. Is there anything exciting going on in your world this Thursday?
Never grow up, never give up! Always look for the fun in whatever you are doing. Just look at those smiles... well, except for the chickens maybe. Hope you are laughing!
Now, on a more serious note. Does anyone have any extra "3X Tall" shirts? Yes, my grandson who just turned 16 years old is 6'5" tall and he lifts weights. His mom is right at 6'. He just got new boots that were on sale, probably because no one else needed that size.
My bestie since 3rd grade, shared news about her grandson, who is part of my family. He is a sophomore in High School and just made the varsity football team. He does all sports, swimming, cross country running, basketball, etc. So all this comes natural to him and we are all so very proud.
OK, this Gram is done bragging for a bit. Tell me what you are most proud of today! Blessings & Hugs from me to you!
Evening Cheryl - how did your Wednesday treat you? Hope you had a good day. I did -- didn't do a thing - meant to vacuume the bedroom but it didn't happen. did go out to finish errands with Rich laterr this afternoon and stopped at Panera Bread for an early dinner. We stopped to chat with another couple on the way out and ended up talkign with them for over 1/2 hr - we had so much in common as both men were in the Navy anddd at the same places but different times. Felt like we've know each other forever ad could have talked with them more, but felt we took up enough of their time. Who knows, we might see them again as they say they eat there occasionally but we don't go that early. Going for tacos tomorrow nite at the American Legion -$6 for 3 with all the fixings - hope they are as good as the ones I make and I don't do anything fancy at all but do love them. Have a beautiful nite and sleep well. Hugs, Wendy
It was a do nothing day for me - sunny and 86. Pulled a couple more weeds in the garden but that was it. Rich went out and had to go out again later so we took my car and finished his errands then went to Panera bread for an early dinner. Met another couple there and found we had so much in common as they were in the Navy at the same places but in different years. We had so much in common that we must have talked with them for over 1/2 hr. Wish we would have gotten a phone number, but they say they eat at panera often, so maybe we'll see each other again, ya never know. Have yourself a merry little evening Cheryl. Hugs good nite.
Oh, how true is that! The 2" total of rain we got and the drop in temperatures with cloud coverage has sure made a difference in plants putting out blooms and new growth.
The passion vine was wilted every day but now look at the blooms which have a strong scent. Amazing when you walk past and get a smell.
The colors in the sky at sunrise are another noticeable difference as fall approaches. The clouds in this picture are one of my favorite patterns. I have lots of pictures like this over the years.
Of course, I do enjoy the evening pictures too with all the colors of the clouds. What is your favorite time of day? Yesterday after taking a panoramic picture, two hummingbirds that I had seen playing in and around the Vitex tree, went up about the roofline and hoovered in mid air for a minute. As I was about to get my iPhone up to video them, they dive bombed me. What was your day like?
It was a nice day here too Cheryl - 85 but felt like 88. I didn't go out again today. Looked cloudy this morning and looked like rain but the sun came out and it turned out nice. I swept and moped yesterday so today I vacuumed. Will dust and do some lundry tomorrow. Housework never ends,, does it? Didn't feel like cooking so I looked for a crockpot dinner and found one - chicken and stuffing. I did fresh brussel sprouts for a veggie and they were microwaved so it was an easy dinner. Have a peaceful and wonderful Wednesday! Hugs, Wendy
For months we have watched and waited for rain to come our way. It would get so close to us and just dissipate. Now it was our turn and we were singing praises.
Here, hold this please while I just touch it, feel it, and maybe even play in it. I just kept going outside to watch it because I couldn't believe it was really raining.
Do a little dance! And shake your booty!
We ended up with 2" over a 2 day period which was just enough at just the right rate. Sun came out late in the day. Yes, lots of areas got way too much rain way too fast and had flooding areas. But crazy people would get out, check to see how deep and still drive into it and then get stranded and rescued. The cooler temperatures are wonderful.
Hi Cheryl - Not much going onhere today - was another nice day in the low to mid 80's. Cleaned and mopped the kitchen and dining floors. Made ham fettucini for dinner - a new recipe I found in th book I got from the library. It as good and there are a few more recipies that I want to try but we'l see. I still haven't gone thru it all but I will before I return it on the 3rd of Sept. Watching House of Dragons that was recorded last nite - it's pre Game of Thrones. Have a good evening and sleep well. Hugs, Wendy
So, how was your weekend? Did you go anywhere? Do anything fun? Shop? Go out to eat? Now, don't be too shocked.
But we actually went out to eat at a sit down Italian restaurant! We celebrated with our friend who turned 66. There were a total of 9 couples in the party room and we didn't know any of them (except the birthday couple). However, the loving fellowship was so evident (4 of the couples go to church with our friends).
They were nice enough to start the party at 6 pm so we could get home as it was getting dark. Now let's get this new week on the right track.
Friends, family and people you don't know yet are all part of sharing your smile and showing love to each other. Hope your weekend was blessed and you are ready to start this new week off on the right track. Let's do this!
Follow your heart! Blessings this Sunday and everyday. Our temperatures are in the low 90's instead of 100's which is a blessing. We haven't had any measurable rain at our house, just clouds even though others around the area have had a shower or two which is a blessing.
However, there are chances of rain in the forecast for several days this week which is a huge blessing. So many things to be thankful for every day that my heart just swells.
So as we start this new week, share your heart and your smile with everyone you meet. Thanks for being a blessing to my heart and in my life.
"And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints," AMEN. 1Thessalonians 3:12-13
Want to take a guess at how long ago this was taken? It was 18 years ago in 2004 that we went on our Alaska cruise. We all enjoyed it so much that we wanted to get a job on the cruise ship and just go again and again.
And how about this picture in Australia? It was the Millennium year of 2000. Where were you and what were you doing?
In 2001 we were hunting and fishing and mowing at the Ranch in South Texas. We often rode motorcycles and had too many different ones to count.
Fun trips to Big Bend, to Austin, to Toys for Tots at Christmas. So many memories. Do you like to reminisce and look at old pictures? I have almost 500,000 pictures on my external hard drive and TUBS full of polaroids, black & white, and various other pictures and film strips.
It's kinda cloudy here too Cheryl as rain is predicted or at least showers. The grass is still green here. I went uptown to get the little girl a gift for her party tomorrow. We already got her a bag of dog food as that was what she wanted in lieu of gifts, but I got her an outfit - every little girl or boy deserves a gift to open at a party. If it doesn't fit, her mom can always take it back.
We are going out tonite with friends and might meet another couple the who are also tired of the smoke in the VFW. This is the only FVW in the state that allows smoking as it was voted to continue. Got to get ready to go out to dinner a honey decided we'll eat out before going to the Moose. Enjoy the rain if it comes - our grasss is still green for now!.
Hello Cheryl: I use a program called Image Event. One loads pix onto the IE site. Then, to use: COPY from site and PASTE to comments section. It's not free but reasonable. I've used it for quite a while now and find it easy to use. It's kind of grey outside today - probably rain soon.
Hugs, Anne

Hi there. I don't know how to put a photo on here in the comments but the new car or suv is a 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport. And it is a beautiful blue. Just love it. Getting easier to drive the more I do drive it. It isn't a push button start. This one has a key, my husband didn't want a push button kind, and neither did I. Not much going on today. Went shopping this morning at a used clothing store. Got me some new, or lightly used, tops. I now have them in the dryer. Its a nice sunny day here and 84*. I hope you are enjoying your afternoon. Take care my friend. Hugs to you, Cheryl
Let's travel this Friday. I also always wanted to go back to Lake Louise in Banff, Canada and take my hubby. I was there for a very short trip with an oilfield organization before we met.
In fact, it has been so long ago that I don't even remember much about it at all. I don't even have any pictures that I can find either.
Of course, that would also mean a trip through the Rocky Mountains by train. Have you been there? Or have you been to Banff?
How many pictures do you think I could take of the beautiful scenery? There are just so many beautiful places to see. What are some of your favorites that you have been to or that you still would like to go?
I also have a Nissan Rogue but mine is a 2019 an I love miine too. Honey also has a Nissan truck. So congrats again and happy safe driving, Cheryl. Having toco's tonite for dinner - will start that in severals minutes. Have the tomatoes cut up and the onion and meat in the pan and the sauce on the table. Went out this afternoon with Rich to Tractor Supply to get dog food and treats for LuLu and a smaller package of dog food for the little girl next door for her party on Saturday. Yes, you read it correctly - she wants animal food for shelters intead of gifts. I think that is so sweet for a 7 year old to give up gifts to feed shelter animals. I will be going to give her somthing small - her dad told me she wear a size 7 as far as clothes go. I'm sure I can find something for her.
New car, eh? What did you get. We bought a new car last year - over the phone 'cos of covid. It was all strange - just push buttons to operate. Enjoy your ride.
