Fall even made it to Texas this week. Yes, we will still hit 90° later this week but how nice is it to take a little stroll early in the mornings.
The vibrant contrast in colors this time of year is really something to enjoy on your walks.
Lots of people are out walking their dogs but it is fun to see the dogs playing in the raked piles of leaves on their own too.
Of course the kids are all out playing in the nicer weather too. The joy of their spirit puts a happy smile on our faces as we watch them jumping all around.
Glad you visited your son and his girlfrieind for lunch, Cheryl. Do they live very far from you? It sure is a beautiful day here - mid 70's and sunny - such a pretty day after Ivan's visit yesterday. All the dogs were happy they could go outside without getting poured on. We only lost a dpeice of siding due to the high continuos windys yesterday. it'll be put back up tomorro by a guy Rich knows. Trying to watch a little tv and do other things, but keep missing the show. Oh well, it'll be on again. Hope your first day of October has been a lovely day for you. Have a good rest of the evening. Hugs, Wendy
That last one is one of my favorite pictures. Let us all be neighborly. Share your smile and your blessings with everyone you meet and enjoy the weekend!
It's not been a boring day here - our friend's dropped their 3 dogs off so we can watch them while they go to a convention. They'll be back Sunday afternoon. I keep taking them out even though the oldest one is caged just in case. She went out soon after we got her, did her business and I let her room and she peeded on the floor! not unusual and she does it at her home. So betweening feeding them all and taking the little one out every so often, I've been busy. Gonna watch some new shows and have some ice cream. Wa a windy day but Ian isn't supposed to start till tomorrow nite after midnite. Have a better day Cheryl. hugs, Wendy
I must be related to this cat! Do you have a cat? Is it loving and friendly? We don't have any cats.
Does your cat give you the cold shoulder or turn it's back on you? Well, our dogs may not do that... but let me tell you if looks could kill, that would be "the look" that our dogs give. When they are in our laps and we make them get up... then you get "the look" for a few minutes before they turn and walk away from you.
Dad, where are you? Why aren't you up yet? Where is our treat? Hope your day is a beautiful Blessing! SMILE!
Good afternoon my friend. I hope it isn't to warm where you live. Its 90* and tomorrow its going to be in the 80s. I would rather it stay in the low 80s, but I guess the weather here isn't ready for that. I'm praying that everyone in the path of that hurricane is safe. Well take care my friend. Hugs, Cheryl
Cooler here near Buffalo NY. The furnace is on tonite. Sure don't like using it in September but what can you do. Florida is in my prayers as well. I have several family members in central FL. Have been checking in with them lots. Take care my friend, Jackie
The view from our house is nothing like any of these pictures. Is your view this nice from your home? Do you think it would be worth living far away from town to look at this every day, all day? Do you have a second home with this kind of view? I loved the Ranch (500 acres) when my parents owned it and had to maintain it. But it was always a lot of work and commitment and $ cost. I do enjoy the view from our patio and it is freshly mowed right now. I am very thankful for our home and grateful for the beautiful pictures to view and share with friends!
Slow day here - all I did was cut up all skinds of veggie to make hamberger soup - honey loves soup and I had everythig from green beans, carrots, to zucchinni - even had fresh basil and garlic to put in it. Turned out so good, had Italian bread and butter to go with it. so good - we each had two bowles and there isn't that much left! We are not in the path of Ian but we will get some rain on Friday from it. Have a dental appointment tomorrow - hope they can fix my one tooth - it was bonded almost 40 years ago and part of it broke off. The cable man is coming tomorrow as we got a new remote and can't get it synched to the tv, so he's coming to get it to work. Meanwhile the old one is working just fine. Hope you get cooler weather - it's been in the 70's to low 80's here. Haven't seen any hummers yesterday or today - seems a bit early for them to leave, but I'll still put out fresh food for them till mid October just in case. Have a good nite. Hugs, Wendy
Oh what a wonderful day it is today. I see my Hummingbirds up in my Juniper trees and Vitex trees all the time. Can you imagine seeing a nest or babies? Now that would make my day! A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the nest! And I do need to check my ivy plant just like that one! Prayers for everyone in Ian's path!
