Hi Cheryl Hope you had a good Saturday and hoep the weather was nice. It was another 83 degree day here. had my brother in law and wife over for dinner as we've been over there twice. Had hamburger soup that I had leftover from when I made it Thursday. Served garlic toast with it and cake I made last nite. Had good food and a good visit - it was nice. We have our candy and the house is somewhat decorated for the trick or treaters for Tuesday nite. Do you get many kids come to your house? Since we live in a subdivision they bring them in by car - one year we got very close to 200 - last year not as many. Gonna be cool Tuesday nite - so we'll have to bundle up to sit outside for a couple hours. Have a good nite and wake up to a nice Sunday. Hugs, Wendy
Brrr I know if it is cold where you are, we will be the next day or two afterwards.

Good afternoon to you. I'm late getting on here cause we just got home from Oklahoma City 45 minutes ago. I had to get all of our stuff put up from spending the night in Oklahoma City last night as my doctor's appoinment was at 9:15 this morning. I made it for later in the day for the next time so we don't have to spend the night. Yesterday it was 83* and today its 52* and tomorrow its going to be even colder with a chance of freezing rain and Sunday not going to be getting out of the 30's and a chance of frozen mix. Not ready for this kind of weather. It doesn't feel to bad outside right now cause the sun is shining and no clouds. But the wind is going to pick up tonight so that will make it really cold. Well have a nice weekend my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Many hugs, Cheryl
We made it to Friday once again. Rain has been here and gone. But it is supposed to come back again. Now what?
On Wednesday, we spent over 4 hours moving plants. They all got a good drink of water and are now ready for the plastic to go over them. We are expecting 3 nights of temperatures in the 30's.
A picture from years past of the plastic pulled back in winter so they can get sunshine. WE have lots of plants, ok I do, in pots scattered around the front and backyard; lots of hanging baskets everywhere in the back.
This is what it looks like, again from years past, on a cold winter night. Lights are on and the heater is going.
All the plants in tubs, big plastic tubs, got moved to the front. They will go in the garage when temperatures drop with a heater turned on.
Just in case you were wondering... yes, I have plants inside too. This is the only window in the house that does NOT have a solar screen so the plants can get light. I have a plant or two in about 3 other locations inside the house.
hello, good morning, this friday and every day, courage , we say we'll carry on, ending this day, successfully, will give us a week, more than we complete all around us, scattering
what we all wish, I wish you the best for your weekend
Take care wishes you, Maria, kisses, and big hugs,
Was a busy day for me. Got up early this morning to go to an appointment and the place was closed but we got someone to let us in and several others showed up too. Was home about 1 1/2 hrs before we left to go see one of Richie's doctors. Stopped to get a sandwich as we were going out to the Moose at 6. Stayed there till 10 an came home. I was hungry so we both got something to eat. Rich has to take our dog to the vet tomorrow morning as she is acting crazy. Our vet said she wouldn't be able to see her till Jan. Can you believe that? She could be dead by then. I had him call his old vet and they just had a cancellation and to bring her in - in the morning. I hope they can find out what is wrong with her. So that's my day. You had a much more quiet day - I didn't have a chance to taake a nap, but I haven't felt I needed one. Have a good nite. Hugs, Wendy
So our adopted family came Monday after Will's dentist appointment!
Oh what a fun time was had by all! We ate delicious hamburgers! The guys watched Westerns and talked. Wendy made a great Apple Cranberry Coleslaw from a recipe I found and had bought all the ingredients. Then we harvested my Malabar Spinach and had a wonderful visit together.
As usual, Rbt shared lots of stories from many years ago with some knowledge thrown in. Believe me when I say that there is a lot of knowledge and stories worth listening to from him.
There is no telling how tall my 17 year old grandson is now. His mom is 6' and his half brother is 6'9". When I reach out my arms, they are at his waist. He is such a loving and kind man that knows God and the Bible. We are BLESSED!
We are so thankful for the family and friends that Jesus has put in our life! I am especially Blessed with my Hubby!
