I went tothe doctor's with Rich - it was his appointment - nothing new but she did do blood work. Then we went out to eat - he went the wrong way so we didn't get to go to the place we wanted but went to a sorts bar and had a good shrimp dinner - was the first time we had eaten and it was 5 o'clock. Am goning to the casino with the senior group inthem orning - the bus leaves at 8am which means I have to get up at 7 am - UGH! It'll be the first time I've gone as they have gone several times in the past. Hope I won't be bored being there all day. I sure am sorry to hear your hubby doesn't have AC where he works and hope he is able to take breaks every so often. Have a good day tomorrow and I'll chat with you then. Good nite, Wendy

Yes, this is late today... because we got RAIN!!! Blessings from Heaven!!! We got almost 7/10" in just over 30 minutes. Oh my, did we ever need it. We still have very large cracks in the yard, but all the plants got a drink and my buckets were replenished.

Hey Cheryl glad to hear you are having a good Friday. It's 90 here too a parts of the city had a short shower - I just missed it coming back from WalMart. We forgot to get instant potatoes when we were there the other day and I just about finished the cherries we got, so I bought more of them. I had a $10 gift card that I've had but keep forgetting to use, so I did ths time. It was only for $10 and I bought exactly $10!!! I joking ly told the lady "if I had bought just one more cherry!!" I won't ever do that again in this lifetime! Going out for some fun time tonite at the Moose. Our friend is making Brunswick stew and cornbread for $7 - not bad for dinner, huh? Tomorrow we'll go to the American Legion for family nite where Rich will be free and I'll pay $5 for 1/2 a chicken and sides. Then Sunday we'll be playing sominoes and it's her turn to cook, so I'm off the hook yet again and we just went out Thursday nite too! I'm gonna forget how to cook if this keeps up!! Have a goo rest of the day Cheryl - keep cool. I saw where a big dust storm is gonna hit the US by Saturday - it'll miss us here in NC but you might get it along with Fla and on up. I'vd been on hold for over an hour waiting for someone at comcast to answer. This is the third time I've been on the phone with them and each time it's over an hour wait. I can't get on to get my e mail but I can get on any other site that's why I can send out comments to everyone here. I sure hoope they don't loose my mail as I was expecting my lawyer to contact me. We had a bad thunderstorm yesterday just as I was ready to go to the Moose meeting It rained so hard it was like a white out - you could hardly see to drive or the road. It's a sunny day today afterr a horrible thunstorm yesterday. Didn't loose power but I had to go out in it and the rai nwas so heavy I could hardly see to drive. Was going so slow and others were dong 60 - I guess I'm just more cautious. After a couple of miles, it cleared it. Was going to a meeting at the Moose - then we all went out to dinner. Comcast messed up again and I can't get my mail but I can get here on NOTH as I had an open window. Have a goo day even if you are relaxing. We are going out for dinner with the Thursday nite group to one of my favorite places Enjoy your day Cherly whatever you are up to. At least the rain yesterday lowered the temp down to 80. The 4th of July is finally here. Firework sales have been very, very good this year.
Every night the sky around our house has been lit up. And there have been lots of cities that have had celebrations on different nights.
There are flags flying everywhere. The Rotary Club in Rockwall puts flags out and takes them up on every holiday for those that pay to have a flag in their yard or subdivision.
There are parades and parties going on everywhere too. Some pets don't seem to mind the loud noise and fireworks or even dressing up.
Wherever you are, I hope you ate lots of good food and had fun with others! The party is almost over! Now it is almost time for me to get ready for work again.
But I will probably be wearing red, white, and blue the rest of the week. Happy 4th of July on this wonderful Independence Day!
Hi Cheryl we just had a thunderstorm blow thru there - it didn't last very long but there was a lot of thunder with a nice rain. It was 95 and hot and humided at 10am this morning and when the storm came the temp dropped 20 degrees - it's nice out there now. I think my dinner last nite went over well. The pie wasa bit sweet though and thankfully there isn't much left as Rich is diabetic and I'm pre. But dessert isn't something we eat very often - mostly on Sunday nites. We are going to our friend's house for to celebrate the 4th of July. There will be no fireworks though as he didn't get any which is ok. We might be able to see some from homes around the area. Another friend invited us to their house also, and I feel bad that we aren't going - it's always nice to go there too and they will have fireworks. Oh well I missed the ones in town too as they were held on the 1st. I hear more rumbling out there - maybe the storm is coming back. Have a nice time at you'r sister in law's place. it's always cute to see the children running around with sparklers. It brings back some nice memories of when I was much younger! Hugs, Wendy

My son called Saturday night on FaceTime. The whole family ran a 3K at Texas Motor Speedway and then went to the Foam Party. I took pictures while we were on FT. This is Michelle asking me to take a picture. They had so much fun.
This is a picture I took the morning of July 1st. I hope it is still this pretty by the 5th or 6th after everyone in our neighborhood has shot off millions of $ in fireworks. From 10 to midnight Saturday night, on and off were lots of BOOMS. Our dogs were not happy. Last night there were some but not too many going off.
I did get a video from my family in Bowie, Texas. They had friends and family over to watch from their yard since about 3 different places near them shot off fireworks all around the lake. Just 2 more nights to go.
