Sunday... July... Summer... Vacation... I hope you are enjoying all of these even the hot and dry days ahead.
Whatever you do this summer, make memories with others. Then you will both always have them to share.
Remember that doesn't just apply to couples but to friends too. I am blessed to have friends with totally different opinions than mine. It makes us both stop and think.
If you Love him, this applies here too. And it too, is also meant for friends. After all, love is what it is all about.
Hello July! Had a busy day starting out putting the flage out along the driveway and around the house. Had to run to DG to pick up a pie shell for dessert for tomorrow nite as I'm cooking. Then made a new chicken dinner, squash and corn on the cob. Just now getting to sit down and do comments on Noth. Hope you have a safe and happy 4th! Hugs, Wendy
Friday afternoon and the weekend traffic has already started. The lines to check in at the airport were very long as shown on TV early this morning.
We both smiled this morning and visited with everyone we encountered as we were going from store to store checking things off our lists.
My question is... who let the sunshine in? This summertime heat is a killer. Just getting the eggs from next door and putting out fresh water for the chickens had us dripping with sweat.
Long Story... I will shorten it. Kelly hired a Senior BOA from another Edward Jones location. She has been there 7 years and wants to be closer to where she lives. She wanted to start July 17th, however, the FA, financial advisor, she is working for is having a new baby and wants to take 6 weeks of paternal leave. So she is not transferring until August 16th. I am there for another 6 weeks. I am off for 5 days, Friday-July 4th and go back Wednesday. I will probably work M-F the next 2 weeks because Kelly is on vacation. Then 3 weeks of about 3 days a week before the new girl takes over.
This will be such a BLESSING for KELLY to have someone that is already trained and can just walk in, take over, and help Kelly build her business. God is Good and He always has a PLAN.
Went to breakfast with honey's brother adn his wife - we don't usually eat when we first get up and were only on our first cup of coffee when he called for us to join them. Brought half of everythign home and wil lwarm it up tomorrow for breakfast. Nw wer are gonn get ready to go to the Moose to meet them and our friends and have Hoppin John for dinner One of the gals is making it - she did chicken and dumpkings before and it was good. Hope this is too. Not too hot today - 84 like yesterday but tomorrow will start the 90's. Anyway we are in the AC so we are just cooling it. Have a nice evening Cheryl. Glad you got all your errands done for the day. Stay cool. Hugs, Wendy
Just dropping by to say hello. Hope you are doing well and enjoying your day. Hard to believe it is Friday already. Seems this week has really flown by. Getting warm here, temps are getting near the 100 mark. We have a heat advisery for the next 4 or 5 days. You take care of yourself, stay cool, and have a great weekend~~ hugs, debijo
Finally got the new floor in the bathroom - that wa a big plus!! It smell nice but will have to get used to if as it's so different. I went shopping and got some BOGO free thngs, plus cherries were on sale and so were crab legs. Mostly everything I bought were on sale. Ate on crab leg before dinner - you hae to work so hard to get a little meat, but it's so good with butter. they cook them there too - I get old bay seasoning. It was only 84 today and really not bad at all. I did sit out front on the rocker and ate some cherries so I got out for a little bit. Going to the Moose for our Friday nite out - think they are having Hopin John and cornbread, so this will be good - I hope! Hugs, Wendy
It was another 88 degree day here but at 6:30 it's just lovely out. Gave the hummers the fres food - had to chase the bees and wasps away and watered the big plant I bought as it's under the overhang and didn't get any rain with all we had. It's slumping terribly and am hoping it gets revived. Had a f/u with my surgeon and said I'm doing fine and I didn't have to come back for a year. Then we went to a memorial for an auxillary woman who was liked by so many. The place was crsowded - we ate and stayed for a bit then left. Don't have to cook tonite so taht was a plus even though the food wasn't that great. There was a lot of different kinds of pastas, salads, meatballs ect. and desserts. I might have a snack later tonite though. Glad you got your electric back on - nothingg worse than trying to sleep when it's so hot in the house. Hugs,, Wendy
Sorry about your storms and no electricity but at least it came back on before the higher temperatures. We are 101° feels like 115° right now.

Good afternoon to you my friend. Its a hot 90* here and humid from the storm we had last night. It was a very very windy storm. Had some rain with it but now we have tree limbs to cut down that are laying on the ground. I don't know how high the wind was but it was awful. Now the sun is shining and its hot. Not much else going on. I took some pictures of the tree branches, I need to post them on here. Well take care my friend and enjoy your afternoon. Oh, and we were with out electricity until 8:30 this morning. Was kind of a warm night without any fans running. Many hugs to you. Cheryl
Good Morning Wednesday! My day off and I will be outside watering plants this morning.
I saw this picture and what memories it brought back of just over 20 years ago when we lived in South Texas. I had a 3' tub planter of Bird of Paradise with lots of blooms that I left behind when we moved.
What? You left a plant behind? Yes, I knew it would not survive in this colder weather. It still breaks my heart.
Now before that Texas sun beats down on us again today, I really need to water the plants I do have growing and wilting daily.
After all, they are all lined up waiting for a refreshing drink this morning. Then there is the grocery list that is waiting too.
Seems like everyone in this house wants to be fed... dogs and humans alike.
