We have made it halfway to the weekend... and so have all our animals.
You knew I would start with the giraffes, didn't you?
Would you look at the ears on that Zebra baby! Our dog, Reba, has kinda big ears and they have turned almost completely white with age.
Now who can resist that sweet face and the beautiful Cannon Beach, Oregon. I love visiting that place.
Even cats are happy with all their silliness to have made it to Wednesday. That is just plain cute.
What do you mean it is only Wednesday? How far away is the weekend?
I got a call at 7:25 am Wednesday morning to go to work. I am already scheduled to work Friday and have no idea if I will work on Thursday or not until the girl that is out lets me know. But the $ will come in handy when we have to pay for over 100' of new picket fencing to be replaced.
Hi ya Cheryl - hope your wildflowers seeds grow. i did that one year and had lots of little violets and what I thought was rag weed and that was all. I had humming bird flower seeds here and they never came up. Haven't checked on the money plant that came in the mail, but it was half dead then. I'll have to try to remember to look for it tomorrow when I have some time. Cleaned the house - vacuumed and did lots of other things - wore me out. Was sitting on the couch resting and the phone dinged. When I looked it was a remeinder that I had an appointment with the surgeon in 1/2 hour - boy did I ever move!!! Changed clothes and threw some makeup on and ran out the house! The hospital is about 20 minutes away and I got there just in the nick of time. The whole appointment lasted almost an hour. Had another x-ray and the doc came in and explained the surgery again and told me what to expect and when to come to the hospital, the nurse came in and gave me a packet and some info to read. ect. Time is getting closer and I'm getting nervous. It was 68 and sunny - another nice day. Have nothing on the calendar for tomorrow except Rich needs to take LuLu for a f/u visit for her ear. Have a relaxing eveing Cheryl. Hugs, Wendy
Here you come again, just when I'd begun to get myself together.
Now sing that all day... and think of me!
Maybe a little chocolate cake with your morning coffee will help start the week off right! I prefer Braum's Cherry Pie with my morning coffee.
Gosh we miss Miss Kitty! Yet, since she had a leakage problem, I haven't worn shoes in the house since she went to Heaven to wait for us. Always look for the positive in every situation.
Besides, as often as Mondays seem to come around, so do the months and years. Do you remember 1978? OFTEN, I still think of myself as this thin, energetic, able to do anything person. Boy, do I look tall there too!! All those boys are WAY taller than those two Moms are now.
Time sure does fly whether we are having fun or not. However, there is lots to be thankful for after all these years. Julie (my friend in Lubbock) and I have been friends for a very long time and have wonderful memories. I hope you take time on this Monday to remember friends and family and to give thanks!
Hey Cheryl - It's a rainy day here - started last nite but hope it'll stop by the time we go out tonite at the Moose. Our friends are bringing BBQ - another one!! for dinner tonite. Not sure where it's coming from. Have been inside all day - even the dog hasn't wanted to go out. Been doing puzles and checking the phone - scrolling - and watching movies on tv. Will need to get ready shortly to go out. It's nice having a relaxing day, isn't it? Take care and take advantae of it! Hugs, Wendy
Are you ready for the weekend? I think I am even though I don't have a clue what will happen.
All I know is that if there is sunshine, I will be outside enjoying every minute of it.
I will be on the lookout for hummingbirds. Our latest cold snap seems to have them hibernating because I have not seen them. Ok, maybe I was hibernating!
Whether I am outside or just walking past the windows, I am always on the lookout for hummingbirds or butterflies or birds or anything else that moves in the yard.
I also like to walk the front and the back just in case there is a new flower that has bloomed or some new plants that have popped up out of the ground.
I know green roses are rare but it is probably because if I had one, I would think it was a weed and pull it up. Wouldn't you? Ok, as much as I hate pulling weeds, maybe I wouldn't pull it up.
Work, work, work. I love working part time. I really wouldn't want to work more than I do but then the money sure comes in handy too!
Whether I am working or home, inside or outside, there is NOTHING like sunshine. Good ole Vitamin D. This year sunshine has been hard to come by, just cloudy, dreary and rainy weather.
So whether the sun is shining or can't be seen, whether it is day or night, be sure your Light is shining.
But don't forget about your Love toward others too. That means saying something nice to those you encounter.
