As you can tell my birds are much happier! We didn't get any snow at our house. There was snow or snow flakes around the area and we ended up with about 1" of much needed rain. The birds are flying high and enjoying the sunshine. I hope you share your smile with those you encounter today and every day.
Hi Shirley - I stayed in all day - no reason to go out. Did things around the house and finished folding the sheets.. I left the bottom fitted sheets last as the one is hard to fold even though I do it the same way - it's just a different material. Made dinner - meatloaf, rosted potatoes and onions and corn. At it all except for a small part of the meatload and we'll have that for sandwiches another day. Rich's brother is coming home from a vacation up north and will bring back subs from Jersey which we'll have tomorrow nite. He goes to the docs for a f/u for his chest - sounds so much better and he isn't overlaoded while doing things. Have a wonderful nite and
I have been a terrible Bird mama! One I don't like going outside when it is cold or a cold wind is blowing. Two I don't like going outside when it is dark by the time I get home from working (3 months). Three it has been so dry here again and with the hose rolled up and the faucet winterized the birdbaths were completely dry. Bad, bad, bad Bird Mama! They should now be much happier with water to drink and warmer temperatures for a few days. But Old Man Winter is on the way again. Come on Spring!
It is 42° this morning and we are getting a much needed rain. Our temperatures are supposed to drop and in our area we have a slight chance for snow flurries. However, the pictures are from our best friends for nearly 50 years, Julie and Tommy, in Lubbock. January 2, 9, and 15, they sent us pictures and videos of the Tumbleweeds that blew into their yard. Twice they had to pay the yardman to haul them off. I can only imagine the seeds that they dropped and what their spring yards will look like this year. Today they got snow in Lubbock. It made some unique and beautiful pictures... as long as it is NOT near our home! Enjoy your day and share your smile, no matter the weather.
It was a nice sunny day but breezy and 58. Stayed in all day while Rich went to the hospital to get a chest x ray and do other errands. I watched a movie and 3 episodes of jack Ryan - a sweies that I have been waiting a long timd to come back on tv. Did a load of laundry so it wasn't an all do nothing, couch potato day. I made a ravioli lazagna for dinner - was pretty good and will come in handy tomorrow as I'll get a shot in my eye tomorrow and won't be able to see or feel well enough to make a fresh dinner. This makes a lot and wil lprobably warm up easy. Hope you had a good start tothe new week. Now it's time for bed so I'll say good nite, pleasant dreams. Hug, Wendy
Hope your tummy feels better this evening. It's really yucky when the stomach is upset. It was a breezy day but sunny. I was in all day and did a load of towles and will do sheets maybe tomorrow. I go for a shot in my eye tomorrow, so I have to play it by ear and see how it goes. I watched a movie this after noon and a couple episodes of Jack Ryan both on Amazon Prime. Have been waiting for more episodes of Jack Ryan. Had to stop so I could make dinner - a ravioli lazagna which should be out of the oven in a few minutes. Hope you don't get too much snow - we are going to get more rain on Wed. Feel better soon. Lots of hugs, Wendy
Have you ever tried to teach an old dog some new tricks? As you can tell, we aren't having too much luck. Our groomer just up and left the country! So we took all four "4" of our girls to a new place and a new business that started a couple of months ago, Elms Grooming, in Royse City. They do have lots of years of experience and were wonderful to all our girls who came out with beautiful grinded nails and a sparkly scarf.
Yesterday we left home at about 10 am. Picked Wayne, my son, up at the airport just after 11. Then we went to two of the three of Michelle's, our granddaughter's, basketball games. They won the 8 am game and the 11:30 game but lost the championship game. We got to see our other granddaughter, Nicole, before she had to meet her class at school as they are doing the background changes for the play, The Addams Family. We had a wonderful lunch (all 7 of us) at Subway. We were back home by 5:15.
I came home with over 170 pictures from Wayne that he took while he was in Israel and over 25 videos from two of Michelle's basketball games. Also the most wonderful memories of a fun day.
