Hey Cheryl - would you believe I went into the attic and fouund a few more thing that I ecorated with. My friend made two wall hangings for Halloween that I hung up and a couple more pumpkins for outside - one didn't light up so the others I put outside. I am going to go outside and take a look. Rich fried up some chili cheese brats that I got at the butcher shop yesterday along with sauteed seasoned onions for dinner and I made maccaroni salad earlier in the day. Other than that I didn't do a thing an that is just fine!! Have a goo nite.
The wind has been blowing these past days so loads of fall leaves are on the ground. Once more is it raking time to pile those leaves and throw oneself onto the pile. Such fun ! Ha Ha
Instead of coffee this morning I have decided to have spot of tea. I am trying for the first time from YOGI tea's an elderberry lemon balm immune & stress blend of tea, as we are at 33 F at the moment, to make my day abit special. May you have a glorious day enjoying your fall day. Smiles Gloria

Hi ya Cheryl. We had a little rain today but not much. It was a cloudy day till 6 o'clock just in time for the sun to go down. Went for x rays of my hips as I have a lot of pain and problems walking at times. I know I have arthritis and it's bone on bone but this is getting ridculous and vacuuming AND mopping make it worse. No plans for tomorrow but see the doc on Thurs. Went to the butcher's and got pork chops on sale for $2.19 I think - can't remember - picked up a 6 pack of nice healthy ones and found a new recipe for baked ones - easy too and so delicious! Moist and very tender. We both enjoyed them. Sent the recipe to my sister as herr boyfriend is a picky eater but does like chops - she usually does shake and bake - I think she'll like these and she's having chops tomorrow. No plans for tomorrow - hope you have a nice day.
Rain started just as I got to work this Monday morning. It rained on and off most of the day and at times it was heavy rain. However, people in Dallas just don't know how to drive on the slick roads. There were 2 major wrecks on my way home that had I-30 shut down in two areas within a 3 mile stretch of the highway. So far, we have been blessed with 1.5" with more that might fall tonight as the cool front arrives. I will try to check in on Wednesday!
Fall is a magical time of beauty! I sure hope you are enjoying each and every day. I love working but it is very tiring for an ole lady! Thanks for checking on both of us and just for being my friend. See you soon!

Got up around 10, my usual, only to find that my doctor's office called around 9. Rich answered and was told to relay to me that I needed to drink more water to flush my kidneys. Why didn't she tell me this when I was in her office and we went over my lab work? I hate to drink much of anything let alone plain water. But i have a glass in front of me so I'm trying. Anyway it's a spring like day here with temps going up to almost 70. Going out dinner with the 'group' so pretty soon I'll have to get ready. I already fixed my haiir so I'm halfway there! I talked with my son today who lives up in New Jersey and he said they have turned the heater on there too It was 55 there today and will only get colder as the nite goees on. We had a high of 58 today and will be 37 tonite. Think all my plants are gone except the begonias. We've had the heat on for a couple of weeks now. You know the saying - you get old, you get cold. We will have a high near 70 one day this week and the heat will still be on as we have it set to 73. Rich went to see his own doctor today at her request. I didn't go cause it was at 9 in the morning and it's an hour away, so I'd have to get up at 6:30 or 7 at the latest. Nope, not doing that especially since he really didn't need to see her - it was just a FU on when he was in the hospital. I wanted soemthing to do, so I made an apple crisp for dinner's dessert tonite. We were gonna have an easy dinner of hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes (the packaged kind) and green beans, but honey said something about turkey roll ups, so I made them - a bit more involved than hot sandwiches, but worth it in the end and we have leftovers for another dinner and lunch! Going out for dinner tomorrow with the group so I don't have to worry about making dinner then and we'll have leftovers on Friday. I'll stay home and Rich will probably go to the post as our friends will be away and I think we are watching her dogs. They just go another 10 week old Sheltie. Not sure how that's gonna work, but we'll see. Have a good nite Cheryl.
