Had a beautiful day yesterday sharing our granddaughters graduation from college. We are so proud of her getting a BS degree in geography-environmental resource studies & a BA degree in communication studies as well a several honor societies & graduating summa cum laude. Ms. Aurora Olivia Sanchez, the 14th Grandchild, of Robin & Dan Sanchez, checked out @ 6 lbs. & 3 oz., and 19 inches long, a somewhat subdued, red all over, just like her daddy. She was quite quiet, as long as she could hold her daddy's finger, and he made sure it was there, for her, much more often than not...

A good day to you & hope the week is doing fine for you . Having a wet week even into the weekend with heavy rains & some flash flooding . Going to be a busy day Friday with the granddaughter graduating from college . Our little girl we played tag , read to & hide & seek is no more . It is a beautiful, warm, low 80 F (28 C), morning in southwest Louisiana. It has been perfect for Geralyn and I to sit on our patio and enjoy the flowers, the butterflies, and the birds. We actually have a wood thrush nesting in our holly hedges but I am reluctant to take a picture of the nest. It also appears that our cardinals are in the process of building a nest nearby. A few minutes ago we had a visit from one of our hummingbirds and I was able to snap a quick picture and video. My front lawn needs cutting so I will start doing that chore soon before the temperature (and humidity) climb to a projected high of 90 F (32 C). After today rain is forecast locally for several days so today must be lawn day!!
