Friday!  What a great day to start the weekend.  

It seems like my computer is one of my favorite places, especially when it is 100+ outside.  

I read a lot of books from my iPad too, another one of my favorite things to do in hot weather.  

Of course, I do love my flowers that bloom in the summer and that requires me spending time watering them.  

I guess you can guess what that leads to, can't you?  Well, you have to find a way to cool off.  

Now let me see that Friday SMILE!  

Hello August!  Summer is here for real as we are having temperatures in the 100's.  But hopefully by the middle of the month they will start to drop.  

I much prefer this time of year to Winter!  Besides, I love the colors in the sky!  

You can still go to the beach one more time or visit family or just start shopping for school clothes.  

Maybe there is something fun that you wanted to see or do this summer.  Hurry!  

Before you know it, summertime 2024 will be gone!  Don't miss out on making memories.  

Now don't forget to be thankful for each and every minute that has passed and for what is to come in the future.  Who knows what this month will bring!  

Welcome to the last day of July and another wacky Wednesday!  

I know this next one isn't very funny and you may not even understand it but if you have grandchildren or great grandchildren you know there is a generation gap of some kind going on today. 

Come on!  You know laughter is such good medicine!  

Happy Tuesday to you!  Do you have a hummingbird feeder to watch the hummingbirds?  

This is one of my females.  I call the colorful ones males and the plain one females.  Usually when we are sitting on the patio, we hear them even before we see the motion of them coming to the feeders.  

I would be so excited if I ever saw one feeding babies, or even saw a nest.  One of my females is much smaller than the one in my picture.  

I only have one thornless Cactus plant in a pot and it is not blooming, but my hummingbirds love the red blooms on our Turk's Cap plants.  

So if you don't have any hummingbirds coming around, find a Turk's Cap plant because they love it.  

Or you can just come on over anytime.  The garage door will open and we will be there waiting to invite you in with lots of tail wagging ... 

As we start this new week, Mother Nature has decided to remind us that Summer is here in full swing.  

We had almost 2 weeks with a chance of rain, clouds and cooler temperatures.  While we did not get much rain, areas around us did.  

Before the middle of August, Texas children will all be back in school and out of the heatwave coming our way.  

So as our temperatures go back into the 100's, we give thanks to Mother Nature taking a vacation this year.  

While our kids will all be back in air conditioned rooms, let us not forget the firefighters from Canada, Oregon, California and all over fighting big fires, trying to save homes, churches, and business, animals and land.  

Last Friday of July and only a few more days left this month.  Are you ready?  

Even though I am working, I thought I would check on you today!  

Are you leaving the house and going for a ride or picking up stuff for the weekend?  

You should invite a friend to go along with you.  It makes the trip so much more fun!  

After all, you can start the weekend this evening by going dancing with someone you enjoy having fun with!  

A flower for you to share with someone you love.  

Don't you just love Chocolate Chip Dough?  

Guys are supposed to wait and Girls are supposed to be fashionably late!  

I can't imagine trying to find the perfect match in today's dating world.  

No matter what your life looks like, eating, waiting, dating or whatever else, remember you are here for a reason... right where you are now.  

Laugh every day!  Share your smile!  Enjoy every minute of life!  

I hope you love flowers as much as I do!  They always put a smile on my face.  

I have never seen a yellow Passion Vine flower.  I do have the common Purple one!  

I also have lots of Coneflowers or Echinacea.  They seem to come up everywhere.  

My first instinct is to run or shoo it away!  I have never considered myself a flower!  

As you look for beautiful flowers today, remember who created and planted them all.  

Always focus on what is most important in life and don't forget to count your Blessings!

Thank goodness we don't get sick very often!  I am not sure if I have either one of those remedies.

Every day moves slowly before two cups of coffee for each of us have been consumed in our house.

If you are like me and can't carry a tune, then do you play an instrument?  I don't play or understand music at all.  But I love to listen to it!  

I believe in the power of music because I have danced a zillion miles to it.

Here we are halfway through July!  I know Beryl is still causing so much trouble for so many people from East Texas to the Northeast.  

I love all my flowers but this heat is really doing a number on them.  We easily have another 6-10  weeks of a hot summer.  

I know we will have rain and some temperatures below 100° very soon!  

Then I will be mowing, watching hummingbirds and taking pictures of my flowers once again!  

When it cools, in November, hopefully in October feel free to come on over.  Until then I am sending you Blessings & Hugs!

Good Morning!  I am online ordering coffee from Uber!  

It is easy to be bitter if you haven't had enough coffee to start the day!  

I thought coffee was the complete meal.  Doesn't it have iron in it?  

However, coffee helps to get me back up again.  Now I had better get going...

I wish I had a picture of my Grandson, Will, to put in here at his gym.  He loves boxing and can kick a glove on each of his Dad's hands about 5-1/2' in the air.  We watched him on FaceTime.  He is 6' 7" tall.  

I hope you either find someone to inspire you today or you get out there and inspire someone else!

After wandering around for a while we thought we would all find you out here with some more food for today.  

Excuse me while I just chew on this for a while.  

I thought I would have one more snack while y'all are getting a drink before I find a nice place to sleep tonight.  

Monday is a golden day!  It is a new week with all kinds of possibilities.  

Yesterday was a long day but a good one.  It was after noon when we got on the road to drive an hour to Flower Mound and drop off our 2 granddogs.  After hearing about their vacation and seeing pictures, we went to CheeseCake Factory to eat and then Nicole, our granddaughter, the oldest one, drove my car back to their home and we jumped in the car and drove an hour home to take care of the chickens. 

I thought I would show you Hurricane Beryl.  We grew up in South Texas near Corpus Christi.  Beryl made landfall near Victoria too far north and so all of South Texas being on the DRY side got 5-12 minutes of rain.  They need rain!  The blue dot is Fate where we live.  The first outer band came across us this morning for 1/10".  We might get a little more if the Beryl goes north before turning east.  It will end up in the north east so look out, many of you will get rain like Houson is getting now.  East Texas will get lots but most of Texas will get none being on the dry side of the storm.  

Tomorrow as the sun comes up we will be back to Hot & Dry and Beryl may be dumping rain on you.  I hope there will be no more destruction but I love weather and storms and thought you might enjoy seeing how big Texas really is and understand why I say, lots of Texans are still in need of rain.

Today is the first of four Sundays in the month of July.  We are below 100° for the next few days as well as starting each day just below 80°.  

Today we are still hoping for rain.  We know it is in God's perfect timing even when all we see are the big cracks in the ground.  

Be satisfied with each day and all the Blessings that come from Him.  

Don't ever let a day go by without saying, "Thanks!"   He is waiting to hear from you.  

When I say, "I love you!"  I mean it with all my heart!  

Have you taken a vacation yet?  Where did you go or where are you planning on going?  

Do you like to go to the mountains in the summer or in the winter?  

The beaches are crowded this time of year during the day and even at night.  

The lakes are crowded too but mostly with jet skis and fast boats of all sizes.  

If you come to the Dallas Fort Worth area, you are always welcome here. 

 Just be aware, whether it is Saturday or any other day of the year,  we love to sit and visit and relax every day!  

Friday is a lazy holiday for a lot of people.  I hope you celebrated yesterday and are recovering today.  

I also hope you are moving faster than our flag.  I am working today!  It will be a busy morning but hopefully a quiet afternoon.  

Wayne and his family had a wonderful fun time in Mexico.  I only got 142 pictures from Evelyn!  I have had so much fun looking at all of them.  

I hope, if you have been on vacation or are going soon, that you enjoy smiles as big and enjoy ice cream as much as Livvy and Bennett!  

However, if you are fishing, I hope you catch a bigger fish than Bennett.  But at the same time, I hope a shark isn't hot on your trail.  

No matter if you are on vacation or working, eating ice cream or fishing, make it a Glorious day and life.  It is all up to you!
