Friday has arrived!  What are your plans, after coffee of course?  

The flowers are blooming (posted pics on my page)!  Every evening/night we get rain and most days we have clouds with some sunshine.  

Yesterday morning we had 6/10" overnight and we had a nice cool breeze with lots of clouds, so the hummingbirds were everywhere getting nectar.  

I even saw the squirrel running across the backyard, away from the bird feeder that has hot seeds squirrels are not supposed to like, on his way toward the fence.  

Do you think if I had a cute little pig that it would eat my grass and chase away the squirrels?  I know, it would just eat all my flowers, but isn't she cute?!

Thursday is here!  Yes we are expecting more storms and rain through the weekend again.  

Now this has been going on for quite a while!  I'm sure you wouldn't know anything about this!  

So you might see me and a couple of my friends going down the street celebrating the only way we know how in the rain.  

And if you look closer, you will see another, right there beside us!  He is guiding our way!  

After the rain, the sun will shine again.  It may be Tuesday before that happens.  Usually the sky is just beautiful after the rain.  

Sometimes we are even lucky enough to see His promise to us.  

Good Wednesday Morning!  It is the middle of the week!  

It is also a brand new month in 2024! 

We are due more rain on and off the rest of this week and the flowers are loving every second of it.  

Even the giraffes are all smiling!  I miss the sunshine but clouds do keep the temperatures a bit lower.  

Now I hear coffee calling to me.  I will be back to check on you soon!  Have a very ...   

This Tuesday we say "Goodbye" to April and "Hello" to May!  

Even though the month is changing, the season is not yet.  

However, as the temperatures begin to rise so does the humidity.  

So after a haircut, it was time to color the hair to try to help give it "somebody to love".  

The weather is different depending on where in the world you live!

Where has this month gone?  Oh my goodness!  Praying for protection from the storms all over the US.  

It seems that our April showers have brought us not only showers but storms to end the month.  

I always say be careful what you wish for and damaging storms are what we don't want for any of us!  

After the storms come more flowers that will bloom and that puts a smile on my face.  

So here is to the storms leaving us all alone and like magic watching the flowers bloom.

The bridge in the photo is called a Clapper bridge, (Latin form clapus, claperius, "a pile of stones" ) they are one of the earliest known bridges and believed to date back to medieval times.

The bridge has two central piers spanned by three large granite slabs Clappers). These slabs would have replaced stepping stones to help pack horses cross the river carrying all sorts of commodities (wool, lead, salt,coal) carried in bags on the horse's flanks destined for the regional towns and cities.

Thursday is here and mowing was rough yesterday.  

I forgot we were bagging weeds.  The mower needed to be worked on about half way through mowing.  

Today is Thankful Thursday and I have a long list.  

My hubby gets lots of kisses from me and all 5 dogs (babysitting the 2 grand-dogs) for fixing the riding lawn mower again.  

And grass short enough to see the dogs when they are outside.  

We will try to mow today if the ground isn't too soft for the riding mower.  It needs to be done today or tomorrow before the rain begins again.  

Just being outside barefoot in the yard is a healing medicine.  I sure hope the wind isn't as high as the 30 mph gust of yesterday.  

If it is too wet or too windy I will just watch for birds and bees and maybe hummingbirds if I get their feeders refilled.  

After all that would be a perfect day too, just watching the grass grow and the dogs play.  I hope your middle of the week is just as perfect!  

It is my favorite day of the week.  On Taco Tuesday we get out and run errands.  So much fun!  

So we will be off soon and no matter where we go or what we do, we have fun!  I do still miss our motorcycles but we are safer now in the car.  

No matter how I feel before I go shopping, I will feel great by the time I get home.  

I mean on any given day, there is NO telling what you might find and bring home with you.  

Now excuse me while I get ready and decide which face, I mean lipstick, I will put on today.

Monday is here again, just like a bad penny.   Saturday we had 3" of rain and Sunday we had sunshine.  What will today bring?  

As I sit here sending you this note, the coffee is making.  

Before coffee, everything is just kind of like black and white.  

But after my usual 2 big insulated mugs full of coffee, beautiful colors begin to shine!  

Add some clothes and some makeup and the sunflowers are shining!

My goodness, it is Sunday and the month of April is flying by.  

This graphic should say, "Hello April Showers, again!"  We sure got lots of rain yesterday.  

I thought I would go out on the patio and watch the lightning but it was way too cold for that!  

I love the rain but not a cold rain... a nice warm summer rain.  Mother Nature is very confused.  

I do love the reflections in the rain water standing on the driveway seeing the trees and clouds as the sky begins to clear.

The weekend is closing in on us rapidly!  I think I will spend the day with the hummingbirds.  

I wish I could have changed the beautiful red roses to yellow like I have in my yard.  

I am jealous of those of you that can paint.  If I draw a stick figure, you would wonder what it was, really!  

If hummingbirds flew at night, wouldn't it be wonderful if they were neon and glowed in the dark?!  

I keep my feeders (3) up all year long just in case.  I never get tired of watching them and taking videos of them.  

Hummingbirds, like you, are one of God's amazing creations!  Blessings & Hugs to you and your loved ones!  

Oh what a beautiful day this Thursday is even though it is a dreary day outside.  

It is a day, like everyday, when I send you love, hugs, and peace from my heart to your heart!  

I love dropping by your place and sprinkling some springtime blessings on you!  

Spring means new blooming flowers for the hummingbirds and for us to smell and enjoy, even with allergies making a red nose.  

Go out and share the things you love with others every day that it is possible.

Good Morning!  I think the sun is just coming up!  

Or is the sun about to set already where you live?  

Sometimes it is nice to see what is up above the clouds.  

It is always fun to go for a hike and to teach a child about all the things in the world around them.   

Unless you have twins to deal with and are in need of some help just keeping up with them.  

That is when 2 heads can be better than one just to find out where they ran off to after their nap.  

Not to worry, everyone shows up when it is dinner time.  

But mostly BLESSINGS from God because... 

is here!  I spent most of the morning in the backyard moving plants and reading.  

I got to see at least 4 completely different hummingbirds too.  So the first few of my 9,000 videos have been taken.  

We are supposed to have sunshine for the next few days with lots of wind but you know where I will be, so come on over.  

I am sharing a "Blessings of Peace" with you each and every day.  

If I could only get in that position and get up again... not happening willingly.  

I might be able to do a little dance but I am afraid it would be misinterpreted as a rain dance.  

Now I know we need April showers but we had March showers first and the flower beds are full and the ground is saturated.  

I just hope the plants and bulbs don't get root rot.  After so many droughts in South Texas, we learned to always welcome the rain every time it comes along.    

Always be careful what you ask for because after 3 days of rain, we experienced 30mph winds with 40mph or higher gusts.  Today should be cool but sunny.  Blessings & "hang on to your hat" Hugs!  

Good Rainy Tuesday Morning!  Possibly 5"-8" in 36 hours!  

We will need the umbrella to get out Tacos today.  

By tomorrow, we may need a boat to get around.  

Today we will just be looking for a dry spot.  

Many of you will get this rain after us so find your umbrella and get ready!  

Oh!  I got a hair cut short on Sunday afternoon.  It feels so light and I love it.  The best thing is my Hubby loves it too.  

It is Eclipse Monday and we are going to probably have clouds and rain.  

So we are moving slowly today!  We can't go anywhere because of all the traffic and people who have come to see the eclipse.  

So we will find some way to enjoy the day and something to do in the yard. 

Sharing flowers with someone you love makes every day the perfect day.

Life has a way of throwing a curveball at us every now and then so we learn from it and grow.

Good Saturday Morning from nice warm sunny Texas, at least this past week.  Carly decided the shade was the perfect place to watch the entire backyard.  

As I was mowing, I had to stop and go get my camera to capture videos of a beautiful butterfly on a Dandelion (not weed) plant.  

The plants all over our yard are just popping with gorgeous colors.  

Yes, the Yellow Rose of Texas is one of my favorites and I have about 5 different ones.  I do have red and orange roses too.  

Of course, I have to include the first Iris to bloom this year.  A friend of mine had a neighbor that was in the Irish society club and she had show irises all over her yard.  She was getting rid of some years ago to thin them out and to add new ones and I was lucky enough to get some of her bulbs.  

Yes, I am blessed!  As I walked up to my hubby with these two Hydrangeas in the Costco cart, he shook his head and said, "You already have more plants than you can take care of." as he was paying for them.  Mine from last year don't have blooms yet.
