Hello, I'm sorry I can't connect, I had a surgery, and soon my mom got two tumors, cancerous, and they also operated on her, I got a lot of things together. and I left the internet for reasons, I am almost every moment, in the hospital. I feel, my absence, I do not forget, my friends, always with love, Maria, take care,
HI NANCY, SUN IS OUT HERE TODAY AND SO LOVELY AFTER ALL THE RAIN AND DULL DAYS WE HAVE HAD. HOPE YOUR SATURDAY WAS A GOOD ONE. GLAD YOU HAD A NICE BARBEQUE LUNCH. SOUNDS REALLY NICE. HAVE A GOOD SUNDAY NOW NANCY. TKAE CARE AND BE WELL. HUGS, MOE
We had a couple of messy days of sleet and ice in our yard and on our porches. The sun is out today and we were glad to see it. Maybe all the white mess in our yard and on our steps will melt away. David and I went out for lunch and he had to help me get out to the car without falling down in the slush. We did make it to eat a very good barbeque lunch and made it back home safety. I'll stay inside now reading and maybe playing bingo online. Hugs and big smiles, Nancy
Do you know how important sunshine is? I mean really know? You can see the difference in the picture. Our temperatures were not warm but just look at what the magic of the sun does! The side of the tree that got sunshine melted the ice and the branches lifted back up. Now higher temperatures should melt the other side.
From solid ice to ice only at the very tip top. Do you take vitamins? I hope you know how important D3 K2 is for you, especially in the winter. D3 is sunshine! There is even an app that you can use to make sure you get enough sunshine, D3, daily.
Ice is heavy! The limbs were touching the ground and after a day of sunshine, the limbs are not broken. Now, that doesn't mean that we didn't lose some limbs. We did.
There are about a half dozen or more like this one. So, even though only one of you offered to come help (and you know who you are), I am giving you another opportunity for some free exercise. My friend in Dallas said she was planning a trip in the near future and it was on the date that we will be tree trimming... whenever that will be.
Believe me I do understand that it is cold outside right now. Don't worry, we will wait until the temperatures are a little bit higher (in Texas that is a very short wait).
Because this Texas girl does NOT like to put on layers. I have yet to use the gloves I got out 2 days ago. And I was outside a lot yesterday chopping at the ice and scraping it off of the sidewalk areas.
But when it comes to trimming trees and cutting the branches up into smaller pieces, it takes teamwork. I am the most BLESSED girl around with my Hubby and soon enough (about another 3 weeks or more) he will be out of that "boot", I hope.
So after we are done, you are invited to come on over for the Spring party. Besides, by then we will need help with the yard and all my plants. Just saying...
COOL UP HERE ALSO NANCY. CAN'T SEEM TO WARM UP AT ALL.
HOPE THAT CINDY IS ALL OVER THE STOMACH TROUBLE. AND THAT YOU HEARD FROM HER TODAY. IT IS A WORRY STILL IF THEY ARE AILL, NEVER SEEMS TO STOP NO MATTER HOW OLD THEY ARE. JUST DOING LAUNDRY NOW SO MUST STOP AND GO TO THE BOTTOM FLOOR HERE ANDD CHECK ON IT. ( APARTMENT I AM IN.) YOU TAKE CARE NANCY, ALWAYS NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU. BIG HUGS, MOE XX
The Bald Cypress tree in our front yard is completely iced over. We did not get any snow, just sleet and ice.
This is the beautiful Vitex tree in the backyard. It is also called a Chaste Tree and has beautiful purple flowers like a lavender plant.
Yes we have lost some limbs already and are supposed to have high winds tomorrow which means we will probably lose more.
Boo hoo! My beautiful backyard is going to need some work very soon. Feel free to let me know when you might be in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and would like to help.
Besides, you might get to have some fun like Michelle and Nicole with my 12 year old son, who will never grow up, that is behind the wheel of his car! I even got to see them (on FaceTime) spin out!
HELLO NANCY, HOPE YOU AND DAVID GOT FOR LUNDH TODAY, THAT WOULD BE SO NICE. WISH MY SON WAS HERE AND WE COULD DO THE SAME THING. IT HAS BEEN COLD HERE AND NEVER WARMED UP A BIT SINCE THIS MORNING. WILL BE SO HAPPY TO SEE THE ARRIVAL OF SPRING. hOPE YOU GOT ALL YOUR THIMGS DONE TODAY AND NO BILLS IN THE MAIL. LOL TAKE CARE NANCY AND BE WELL. HUGS, MOE
Good morning, Moe. I hope you have a really good Tuesday with good weather. We had solid lite rain yesterday but are expecting a clear day today. I need to go pick up a prescription, take David to lunch, and pick up my mail at my community post office box. Just enjoy your day and stay warm. Hugs, Nancy
HI NANCY, HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD WEEKEND. IT HAS BEEN COLD UP HERE ON THE WEST COAST. LOTS OF FOG BUT TODAY SOME SUNSHINE. WAS A BLESSING FOR SURE. YOU ARE SUCH A GOOD FRIEND NANCY, HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR A LONG TIME NOW, HOPE IT CONTINUES TO BE SO. YOU TAKE CARE AND KEEP ON READING. I HAVE A COUPLE OF GOOD BOOKS FROM THE LIBRARY AND CONTINUE TO READ WHENEVER I CAN. AVON PICKING UP AGAIN SINCE A LULL AFTER CHRISTMAS. DO TAKE CARE THERE AND BE WELL NANCY. BIG HUGS TO YOU. MOE XX
Happy Sunday, Moe. You are always missed when I don't see you here. I know that you have had a lot of very cold weather and I hope that is cleared up and you are having some pleasant days. I will be watching my church service from Celebration Church, Georgetown, Tx this morning. Then I.ll put away my grocery order that David is picking up at noon today and I'll be happy to eat some of that new food before going to pick up a prescription and get my mail at our little post office. Oh, Moe, I love ya and am sending hugs, Nancy
This is what is coming our way. WHAT??? Can you say global warming? I am freezing today even though I uncovered plants and moved plants out of the garage into the driveway. I will be covering and moving again very soon. Brrrr! Snow, Ice, Sleet - no thank you!
These were put on two weeks ago and they are now gone. I started Valentine early like the beautiful pages on The Hill. Now new ones are on...
I got half the house vacuumed. Hubby is now cleaning toes every day so I take the dressings off and put them back on. However, the pin in the little toe keeps wanting to come out. He doesn't see the doctor again until the 10th. So after a phone call to the on-call doctor, Hubby took the pin in his little toe out himself. Enough said! We won't talk about that any more.
By the time I get back here to visit with you, we will probably have snow and be really freezing even though we started at 28 this morning. Having that for a high instead of 70 is not my idea of fun. But I'll drink to that with you!
Nancy, I get the Celebration Church notification on YouTube every week but don't always have time to watch it as we already watch 4 other sermons first. It is a great chruch though.
HI NANCY, HOPE YO ARE DOING WELL. I WAS NOT ON FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, JUST TOOK A BREAK. HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR SHURCH SERVICE TOMORROW. TAKE CARE AND BE WELL. HUGS, MOE
I have had the best morning reading all your posts. Makes me smile and warms my heart. Praying for those who are getting high winds and tons of snow. Seems like even with the sun shining most of us are very cold.
I really don't know how you live in weather like that and how all the animals and birds survive. I love that my girls sit in the chair with me to keep me warm.
Now it is time for me to get busy around this house. OK, I need to do my nails too. But after next week I sure hope you have more time to get this house straightened up. Dust bunnies are running rampid around here. There might be an abundance of dog hairs too.
