It is rainy today and a cold front is moving in where I am in upstate New York USA. But most of the trick and treaters were aware of it, so parties were held last weekend. I heard on the news that some were thinking of moving Halloween!! How do you move a Holiday lol.
Holloween was so named really All Hallows Eve way back in the day... which was the day before All Hallows Day which when this was started a l ong time ago Hallows were Holy or Saints Day which then became All Saints day. But somewhere a long the line All Hallows Eve became Halloween and All Hallows Day became All Saints Day, as the language changed. The day after All Saints Day which is the 1st of November, then the 2 nd of November is all Souls Day. That was a day that the Catholic church prayed for those that have departed and are in purgatory.
May you havea wonderhul and very safe Halloween and rest of the week too. Your friend Connie
Pleasant day to you. My goodness tomorrow we start the month of November. Such a very special month full of birthdays plus Thanksgiving at Grammies. The sun is shinning today which warms ones heart. Enjoying some French Vanilla & Almond flavored coffee from Cameron's at the moment.
Library has some books in for me that I order awhile back so will visit our friendly library this afternoon.

You seem to be ready for Halloween. For me, no partys, no kids around here, just a few spooky TV shows. No snow in my forcast (ever).
Closing out another month that went by fast. Getting a cold front coming in that will get us close to freezing temps so going to protect plants in case of frost. Afraid the trick or treaters are going to have rain & cold temps for Halloween. We bought a lot of candy but most of it is the kind we like so time will tell. Have a bootiful day.............George
Evening Miss Mary - hope your day was wonderful. It sure was here - went to Va. Beach yesterday, ate at Smokey Bones and came home. Had to go back to the restaraunt as I left my phone there - actually it got caught in the seat and I didn't know I didn't have it until 8 that evenng. 1 1/2 hrs each way for 2 days - ugh. But we relly have nothing else to do. Have a wonderful evening. Hugs, Wendy
I love the doily. Reminds me of my mother, for she could crochet beautifully and made many lovely doilies. I have one of hers now on my kitchen table under a lovely teapot.
