Do you really know what day it is?  Saturday?  NO, it is Caturday!  Today we turn the clocks back an hour!  Boo!  I already miss the evening sunshine!    

Whatever you call this day, you know it is the weekend and that Blessings are coming your way.  

It is the best day of the week to sleep in too!  Do you have a nice, soft, fluffy bed that is all nice and warm?  

Isn't it the day for a great, big, delicious breakfast?  Where is it?  What do you mean you have to go somewhere?  Give me a minute... 

OK, I am ready.  Are we going out for breakfast this morning?  You better strap me in because I have ridden with you before.

HI THERE DEBIJO. THANKS FOR YOUR LETTER LAST WEEK. ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO HEAR FROM YOU . i DID GET TO WALMART AND HAD MY  HAIR CUT TOO. SPENT MONEY THAT i REALLY DON'T HAVE. BUT IT WAS FUN TO GET OUT AND ABOUT AS HAVEN'T BEEN TO WALMART FOR AGES. WENT TO A NEW ONE THAT OPENED HERE BUT NOT AS ,ICJ STIFF AS TJE P;D WALMART. WAS DISAPPOINTED REALLY. PRICES HAVE GONE UP TOO SO DON'T LIKE THAT AT ALL.

YES i WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE CLEANING LADY AND HAVE HER BOOKED TO COME AGAIN THIS COMING TUESDAY. I WILL SPRAY THE OVEN AND SHE WILL CLEAN IT WHEN SHE COMES. GET SOME VACUUMING DONE AND GENERAL CLEAN ALL AROUOND THE PLACE. NOT THAT IS DIRTY, JUST TO MAKE IT A BIT BETTER.

i AM SURE YOU DON'T FEEL LLIKE CLEANING THE PLACE AFTER WORKING ALL DAY DEBIJO. THAT IS THE LAST THING i WOULD DO WHEN i WORKED.

JUST TALKED TO RICK ON SKYPE HE LOOKS GOOD AND IS HAVING A PIZZA FOR DINNER TODNIGHT. THEY GET 2 OF THEM FOR THE PRICE OF 1 UP HERE . CAN'T BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICES , SO CHEAP DOWN THERE. nO HE WAS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR HURRICANES OR OTHER THINGS. HE IS HIGHER UP SO NOT BOTHERED WITH ANY OF THOSE THINGS. SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT.

Friday again?  Where did the week go?  Well, we might as well start the weekend.  Can you believe some schools are out today for the Texas Rangers World Series Champions parade?  

Don't forget that we have to change all the clocks this weekend because you get an extra hour before church starts on Sunday.  

The colors this time of year are so vivid and beautiful most days.  We are starting a slight warm up each day starting today, from 45° to maybe 70°.  

In fact, it might be a perfect day for a hike.  There is this beautiful lake I would love to visit.  Do you want to come along?  

If you were thinking of this one, I don't think I will be visiting it any time soon.  You are on your own.  On second thought, I need to go in the backyard and uncover plants today.

We have had a busy two days.  Can you believe it is already Thursday?  

I am so cold again this morning!  Can you tell?  I think I have lost all my summer tan already.  

This morning, last night, tomorrow... We are all celebrating in the Dallas Fort Worth area and in Texas with the World Series Champions!  

Why don't you come join the parade at 12:15 pm tomorrow?  I am sure they have already started lining up today.  

We will make room for you to go with us!  But hurry now because...

Welcome to the first day of November this Wednesday!  We have had quite a change.  

We skipped right over Fall and went to an early SURPRISE winter.  But warmer temperatures will be back and I hope real soon.  

However, the second half of October did end our drought.  We ended up with 8.2" of rain Between 6 pm on Thursday and 6 am on Monday.  

Our leaves all fell off the trees before they could even change colors this year.

I don't know if I can go out tonight after all.  I mean, it is COLD in Texas!  

I have been sitting in front of this computer for too long getting this message ready for today.  

I am going to need a nice hot bath to warm up after this change in temperatures.  

But do you know what happened the last time I took a bath in the tub?  

I didn't mine the weight I lost but I lost part of myself and part of my name.   It will be 28° tonight, I hope the brooms don't freeze up!  

It is almost time for Halloween.  So last night I thought I would do a trial run.  

I knew it was too wet to take the motorcycle out in this weather.  

But I may have to get the motorcycle out tomorrow night anyway.  

After all, my friends will be expecting me to show up.  

I just hope I can tell who is in which costume.  Which one are you?

Sunday, a day to recharge and count your blessings!  Since Thursday about 6 pm, we have had a total of 7.5" of rain.  

Every day is coffee and scriptures to begin the day.  

One of my greatest blessings is my friends.  A hug can fix almost anything.  

Friends are there in sunshine and rain, thunder and lightning to put a smile on my face.

Caturday Blessings to you!  Some plants  already got covered and some got put inside.  We got another 2-1/2" again last night.  

So there isn't really any reason to get up today, is there?  

I mean, after all, it is supposed to just rain all day on top of our 5" of rain we already have and keep getting colder and colder all day too.  

Between the rain and nothing outside to do makes me feel lazy and just want to sleep all day.  It is still very dark outside this morning!  

Guess I had better find something to eat to keep up my strength for some college football and world series baseball!  Hope you enjoy your Saturday!

We made it to Friday once again.  Rain has been here and gone.  But it is supposed to come back again.  Now what?  

On Wednesday, we spent over 4 hours moving plants.  They all got a good drink of water and are now ready for the plastic to go over them.  We are expecting 3 nights of temperatures in the 30's.  

A picture from years past of the plastic pulled back in winter so they can get sunshine.  WE have lots of plants, ok I do, in pots scattered around the front and backyard; lots of hanging baskets everywhere in the back.  

This is what it looks like, again from years past, on a cold winter night.  Lights are on and the heater is going.  

All the plants in tubs, big plastic tubs, got moved to the front.  They will go in the garage when temperatures drop with a heater turned on.  

Just in case you were wondering... yes, I have plants inside too.  This is the only window in the house that does NOT have a solar screen so the plants can get light.  I have a plant or two in about 3 other locations inside the house.
