Weekend is on the way!  It has been a nice Spring week for April.  

I am checking the ads for my grocery list.  As soon as I get that done, I hope to finish the book I am reading so I can start another one.  

After all, it is so much fun to travel and get totally lost in a good book.  

Just be in the moment, right inside the book.  You have done that, haven't you?  

Sometimes you can even feel the spray of the waves when you are reading a book!  

Now if I can just figure out which book I really want to read, to dive into and get lost.

What to do on a Thursday.  Dog days of summer, I mean spring.  Temperatures are up and down, BUT   

Every day is a new adventure.  Some days are just plain and simple.  Some days are exciting.  

More often us girls start out with a bad hair day.  Some days we can get it under control and other days it is like... who cares.  

I know we all have days that we just want to hide our head and take a nap.  Do not disturb me today.  

There are days when friends, family or spouses want to play a game of scrabble or some other nonsense game.  

Then there are the dreary days that the only thing to do is curl up in a chair with a cup of coffee and a good book.  What is your day like today and your favorite kind of day?

Well, the lady that I interviewed accepted the job offer. She started last Monday and so far is working out rather well.  I had another interview for another leader position this last Thursday and he accepted the offer also. He will start work tomorrow (Monday).  So, now I have two new leaders and hopefully they will stay around awhile.

Most of you know I love to take pictures.  But to capture the moon like that, you need the right camera.  

Even with a phone camera, it takes the right "eye" to "see" the right angle to capture the right picture.  

I also just like looking at pictures.  I came across this one that had a caption of the name of a plant.  This is a Double Angel Trumpet.  

A lot of you might not know that plant or remember the name Cricket.  She was the first person that asked to be my friend when I joined Not Over The Hill in 2008.  The above picture is her Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.  

While Cricket is no longer with us on earth, her Angel Trumpet plant lives on at my home just as she lives on in my heart.  She would take cuttings in the fall and root them over the winter.  She sent me a couple of cuttings and I still have one growing in a tub.  It is inside our garage today because it is cold.  It has been pulled in and out (in warmer weather) of our garage so many times over the years (hundreds) and will soon be at home in our backyard in another month when the weather stays warmer.  

Every time I spoke to Cricket with all her health trials, she would say she couldn't wait to get to Heaven and have a "Woo Hoo Party" with Jesus.  I was blessed by her friendship and I am also blessed by your friendship.

Sometimes when things seem to go wrong, it could be that God isn't saying "no" but just "not right now".  

There are times when it is hard to have faith and not think that God isn't listening to us.  BELIEVE

Anyway, not too much going on here. I did get a few extra days off this week so that is nice. Next week will be a little busier.  I had an interview with a lady applying for one of my leader positions on Thursday.  She was nice and very knowledgeable. I think she will be an asset to our team, so I had my boss email the employment center to extend an offer to her for the job. Hopefully she will accept it. I have two other leader positions to fill as well. Sure hope I get some good candidates before the busy season gets here. One of my leaders moved to WA, one resigned due to another job opportunity with the Gas Company. And one moved into a Supervisor position in another department. So, I need to replace all of them.  Well, I think I have rambled on enough here so I will close for now.  Getting kind of hungry and need to figure out what I want to eat for lunch.

Finally, it is Friday.  I hope you have had a good week and I hope the temperatures have warmed up for you too.  

Now that Easter is past, I have moved flowers and hanging baskets out into the yard from under the makeshift greenhouse.  

Time to get out the potting soil, pots, shovels, and fertilizer and get busy.  Do you like this time of year?  

Kick your shoes off and let's go pick some Spring flowers.  I love going barefoot.  I rarely wear shoes in the house or around the yard.  

Look at how vivid the colors of the flowers are this time of year too.  It just takes my breath away!

Time to get outside and enjoy the sites, smells, and fun times.  And get that squirrel away from my computer... 

Oh wait, That is me!

It is Thursday and the weekend is getting closer.  Let's find something fun to do today.  

Instead of sitting on a bench, let's sit here on this tree in Hawaii and visit.  

We can take a road trip in our minds.  Were you ever into the Hippie era?  I still love long hair on guys.  And boy did our parents hate it.  Kind of like we feel about a man bun now.  Sorry if you have one.  

Did you ever stop on the side of the road to eat... not at a roadside park but on the tailgate of your station wagon?  I still love those cars.  Remember the ones with the back seat facing the rear view?  

I will admit that I LOVE Mopar and the bigger the engine and the faster it goes, the more I like it.  We both still have our motorcycle endorsement on our drivers license even though neither of us own one anymore.  

Some things last forever, like Multnomah Falls.  Some things get more valuable with time, like old cars.  

Some people age well... like my girlfriend and I shopping and having a fun time together.  

Then some things just get better with time, like Robert and I.  I love him more every day.  I hope you are as blessed as I am.  

Middle of the week is here.  Let's make it awesome!

How about just a peck?  The zoos are full of new babies.  It is Spring time after all.  

Did you know someone in my home likes zebras?  There are only 2 of us here.  

Ok, I will admit, that is a beautiful painting of a zebra, especially with the red background.  

They are very spectacular in the wild and with an orange (my favorite color, oh, you know that too) moon.  

Even the wind and the trees seem to like the zebras.  How about you?  What is your favorite wild animal?

Oh look!  Birds have laid eggs.  Babies are hatching.  "I am all alone!  I am hungry!  Where are you?"  

"Stop yelling!  I am here now.  I am working as fast as I can to feed you!"  

"How many are in there?  How can you all be hungry at the same time?"  

"I think I found a new home for us."  Have you seen any babies yet this Spring?  

Our neighbor next door has been sharing the new family of birds (eggs to hatchlings) that need a new home instead of in their security camera.  Can't wait to find out what kind of birds!  

But maybe their old home was turned into a flower pot.  Great ideas for tea pots, don't you think?  I do hope you enjoy my rants.  I love you all.
