Hey Pal, yes, be careful going up and down those stairs. Don't want to start that hip up again! It's sunny, cool and dry here and I couldnt' be happier. This after days of gray, foggy damp weather and rain. There are so many leaves faling still it looks like Fall. I think it's all the leaves that died from the Arctic blast. That's my theory anyway. My poor Hydrangea didn't survive it. I guess it could come back eventuallly but it looks awful. Well I've heard of Bok Choy but not sure I ever ate it. Isnt't it an Asian cabbage? I've seen it used in stir fry dishes on the Food Network. Meant to say in my last comment that my hubby was watching the game when the young man from the Bills collapsed. Yes, it was so scary and upsetting. I prayed for him and still am. It had to be horrifying to his family and all the fans. Hope your day is good. love n hugs, Beth
p.s. It's not morning anyimore but I love this little graphic so using it anyway.
Good Afternoon Wendy,Thank You Always for asking about me...Sorry i haven't been on here through the holidays...i'm still working 6 days a week and with 60 hrs. ... i hope you and your family had a nice and safe holiday...take care my dear friend
Have you ever seen such a beautiful fountain? I graduated high school and never read a complete book, at least that is the way I remember it.
Now I love to read for the sheer enjoyment of the moment. I don't retain a lot and that is just the way my memory has always been. But when I read, I can become a different person.
I probably have more books than that and that doesn't count the over 5,000 kindle books on my iPad. Now if you will excuse me for a bit, I'm going to my favorite corner of the world.
Hello Pal, well it's been storming to beat the band here. Bet you have rain coming too. We have cold on the way after this rain and honestly I'll be glad. We have been running the AC, yes in January, since the weekend. Well I thought the post office was open Monday too. I had a package all ready to mail my granddaughter for hubby to take that day when he went to town. He mentioned about som place being closed for the holiday and I decided to check before he left and yep, it was a Federal holiday. I guess NY falling on a Sunday had us all messed up, huh? Anyway I hope everything is back to normal now. We got the tree down finally yesterday and all the outside decorations and lights too before the stormy weather hit. Now to get it stashed back in the attic. Happy midweek, stay dry and cozy!
Good afternoon my friend. I hope this Tuesday afternoon is going good for you. Mine is going okay. Went shopping this morning so I'm just now getting my laundry going. Its a sunny day here today but the wind is out of the north and is quite cold. Not much else going on. Just thought while my clothes were in the washer I would send out comments to everyone. Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your afternoon. Lots of hugs, Cheryl
Good afternoon my friend. Its a brand new week and I'm doing good. I think I'm over my stomach bug. Food still doesn't set to well with my stomach. Well some food.Just depends on what I eat. Its a cloudy, chilly day here today. Had a little bit of rain this morning but that is it. Take care my friend and enjoy your afternoon. Many hugs, Cheryl
It's a new year with new possibilities! And so far everything is going my way. How about you? Any problems so far?
I know this probably never happens to you, but I forgot where I was going with all this. I know I wasn't going to drink more water right now as I have had too much already this morning. Oh, that was coffee.
I remember we were talking about... the weather and whether or not to let the plants get rain with the possibility of wind damage, hail, tornado, or cold temperatures. Maybe I was just going to water indoor plants.
At least I only work 4 more days and then the new person will start on January 9th. I'll be able to watch TCU vs Georgia and stay up late (like I do anyways). I already miss working with Kelly though!
I didn't have to cook. Our neighbors shared their meal with us since we took care of chickens... ham, cabbage with bacon, potatoe casserole and black eyed peas. We are blessed!
It the first day of the new year and the first day of the month on the first week of the month. That's a lot of firsts!!! All I did today was get the menu for tonite's dinner, pork, hoppin john, green (sauteed cabbage) and scalloped potatoes. So I should be all set for the new year. What are you January 1st dinners like? I guess different parts of the country have different ideals of what the first dinner of the year should be. Going to the men's meeting at the VFW tomorrow nite - the women go to support the men and vice versa plus there is always food so I don't have to cook tomorrow and that's always a plus. I did clean out the fridge and thru most of the food in the empty acres next to us for any animals that come get it. Hope Jan. 1 was a good day for you. Sleep well tonite. Hugs, Wendy
Hey Pal, hope your NY weekend was good. We mosly stayed home except for church yesterday. Hubby got some greens to cook and cooked them outside on his little burner. They were so good. He cooks them usually because his are better than mine. lol. We also had the traditional blackeyed peas and cornbread. Hope today is your quiet day to catch up on rest. I worked on taking down some of the Christmas stuff over the weekend. Plan to get the tree down today. We'll see how that goes. Hubby is here to help at least. Have a wonderful new week as we kick off 2023! love n hugs, Beth
It's a new day and a new year. Welcome to 2023! I hope we can start off the year with our legs under us and that we can jump over any hurdles that get in our way. Just want to say that your friendship means the world to me. So let's do something fun together, like climb a tree. You go first and I'll be right there.
