Smile! It is Saturday! I sure dread putting ribbon around the 44 pies that Kelly will pick up from Costco Monday and attempting to tie a bow on each. Then Tuesday the clients will drive up and call us and we will take their choice of Apple, Pecan, or Pumpkin to each family. Next Saturday we will go to Flower Mound to see our girls and that is something to look forward to now. What are you doing this coming week?
Not baking or cooking. I work for Edward Jones for Kelly and she offers some of her clients who live near the office a choice of Apple, Pecan or Pumpkin pie she gets from Costco. On Monday, I will wrap ribbon around them and tie a bow on each one. I am a terribe bow maker. Want to come help me?
I know you are glad it's Friday Pam as you now have 2 days of ret. Are you baking 40 pies? and who are they going to? That's a lot of pies. I guess you'll be making Thanksgiving dinner for the family? We are going to friend's and bring an appitizer platter. I have to get stuffed olives and sour cream to finish it up. How about all that now people are getting. I'm sure glad I don't live out in mid west or NY. Have a wonderful weekend, Pam. Hugs, Wendy
Hello Pal, yes I have an Instant Pot. Got it about 3 or 4 years ago when I first heard about them. I like mine and use it a lot. I have cooked vegetables in it, rice, chicken, all kinds of things. It has a slow cooker feature as well and lately I seem to be using it as a slow cooker more than anything. I cooked some taco beef soup in it last weekend. You will get more comfortable the more you use it. It has a saute option that I use for searing/browning meat. I made beef stew recently in it and I browned the stew meat, then added my vegetables and a can of French onion soup and cooked it on the slow cook option for 4 hours on low. I bet it's cold up your way. We woke up to cold temps and sunny skies this morning. My favorite combination. TGIF friend, enjoy your day. loveya.
Oh my! What a week it has been and at last there is hope to survive it all. We will be giving out over 40 pies for Thanksgiving so next week will be a very busy one too. I just want you to know that your friendship means the world to me and I planted some flowers for you!
Good afternoon my friend. I've had a busy day today. Had a doctor appointment at 1 this afternoon. Got home around 2:30. Its gotten windy and partly cloudy here. Tomorrow is only going to get up to 29*. That is to cold for me. We have a chance of snow flurries tomorrow too. How are you doing? I'm doing just fine. My doctor appoinment was just a check up cause I'm a diabetic. Not much else going on. I will chat with you again later. Take care. Hugs, Cheryl
Good Afternoon Wendy,Thank You Always...wishing you and your family a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving...enjoy your day, keep warm and take care my dear friend
Hello Wendy, I hope your mid week is good. Nothing much going on today. Hoping for a quiet day after a busy day running errands and cooking yesterday. I made a pot of beef stew and some rice. It's time to think about the menu for Turkey Day and shop accordingly. haha. Not sure I'm ready for all that but I'll get on the ball with it soon. I am just now taking out the pilgrims, Indians and turkey stashed away in my box of decorations. Is it cold up your way? We are chilly and gray here, still overcast. Talk to you soon. hugs from me, Beth
