good morning Pal, yes, we are to get some wind and rain off Nicole by this afternoon. Our local weather said it will be gusty winds of 40 mph and rain. Not fun but overall nowhere near as bad as we've had in the past. We are as prepared as we can be I suppose. Hubby has gas for the generator and extra ice for coolers if we lose power. I bet your hair will feel better once you're used to it. A short cut does take awhile to get accustomed to, for sure. At least it's easier to take care of. Yesterday was busy for me. I had to get some odds and ends in town at the store, mostly pet supplies and last minute stuff for the baby shower on Sat. I think I told you I was giving my great neice a shower. I met my work friends for lunch afterwards then came home and worked on stuff for the shower with the girls. We made hand stamped favor bags and some goodies to go in the bags. It was breezy all day and even more so today as the storm approaches. I have my tablets charging now and will make sure my phone is charged too, in case we lose power. Hope your day is a good one. hugs from stormy FL, Beth
This is what I wish I was doing on my day off. I spent 2 hours coloring my hair and 3 hours shopping for groceries and wandering around Costco. My paycheck for the whole week is gone.
I think this leaf belongs to you. It blew in my yard. Oh, and I have a bunch of limbs that you can pick up while you are here.
My goodness all this putting up groceries has made me thirsty. Now just a few more things to get done and maybe I can find that book I started reading this weekend.
Good afternoon my friend. Its a windy, cloudy and warm afternoon here. What's it like where you live? Tomorrow is only going to be in the 60's and then colder as the weekend gets here. Not doing much today. I went grocery shopping this morning and got what we needed. I will talk to you later. Take care and many hugs. Cheryl
One of many trees my son, Wayne, trimmed on Sunday. Didn't he do a beautiful job?
Pole saw, chainsaw on a pole, and lots of sore bodies by the time this was finished.
Piles and piles of cutting all over the back yard. We got the front yard picked up before Rbt and I pooped out completely.
Besides the fact that the trailer was full to overflowing "again" after Wayne jumped on it to get it down and no place to put the cutting from the back yard until it gets unloaded.
I hope you're having a good day so far. My youngest son got out and blew off the deck Saturday morning and by that evening it was covered again. Goodness between the leaves and the nuts it seems to be a never ending job! lol
Good afternoon my friend. Its a lovely Fall Day here today. Its 61* and just a light breeze. Got all my housework done and just getting on here to send comments. We have lots of leaves in the yard. Makes it crunchy to walk in the yard. Do you have any leaves in your yard? Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Many hugs, Cheryl
Hi there Wendy. After 2 years of covid I'm now juggling docs appointments which are trying to overlap - bless 'em. Spot of rain today but still no s-n-o-w!
Now that is what Fall is all about to me! We had 500 acres full of beautiful White Tailed deer and it was the best time of the year. Our freezer was full of meat to last all year long. Now it is slim pickens.
The weekend is almost over. Time to start thinking about the week ahead and work to be done. We are trying to finish trimming a few trees to keep the squirrels off the roof. What do you have planned?
