Saturday! Football, day off from work, laundry, defrost freezer... RELAX! At a near record (95°) day of 93°, we are excited about a chance of rain Sunday and Monday (none so far this month) and cooler temperatures.

good morning Wendy, your page is so cute! Hope your hip pain is better. I don't blame you about the surgery but I do know several people who have had good resutls with the hip replacements. I may be looking at the same thing down the road. Well ribs from Ruby Tuesday sure sounds good. Now I'm hungry! lol. Guess they had to increase prices like the rest of the world! What are you going to Birmingham for? You may have told me but I don't remember. Yesterday I finished up the wreath for my neice, will take it to her tomorrow probably. I cleaned around here too but didn't have to cook thankfully because we had leftover chicken and rice. On Tues. there was a baby squirrel (well a young one) "stuck" in the screen wire on my front porch. He hung upside down for 2 hours or more and I was fretting about him being stuck. I went out there to free him and imagine my surprise when I peeked around the corner at him and he scurried a short distance away. He wasn't stuck at all, I just thought he was! lol. Did things around the house Cheryl, and tried out my new 12" cast iron fry pan - had a Porterhouse steak. It didn't turn out as pink as we like, but ws still pretty good. Haven't cooked in cast iron in many a year. Was 70 and real nice out - watered the plants and planted a basil plant that I've had in watere for months. We'll see if it lives! Tomorrow 75. Must be Indian summer!! Glad you had a good time with your grandchildred. How old are they. I've been on a hormon patch since I had a hysterectomy about 30 years ago, so I kinda know what you mean about helpng. Have a good nite. Hugs, Wendy
Hi there Wendy. Having a somewhat good day. I wanted to go out and eat with the hubby but he is out working on some equipment out of town. Anyway my grandsons are 7 and 4. They are so funny. Love them so much. When I go get my hormone therapy pellet done, after that we go and see our grandkids. Hope you are having a good Wednesday. Its cool here. Its 68*. good morning Pal, well I jsut typed a message to you and managed to lose it so here I am again. It's dry here too and I've been having to water my plants almost daily. We are supposed to get rain later today and tomorrow and we are really needing it. DId you cook your steak on top of the stove or in the oven? I've been using a method I saw on Food Network. You sear the steak in butter on a pretty high heat for 3 or 4 min, then flip it over. Cover the pan with a lid or foil and bake at 300 or 325 for about an hour. I usually check it after an hour and it's ready except for a a really thick one might take longer. I use this same method for pork chops too. Yes, that full moon was so pretty and it had all the little critters (and big) out prowling that night. Nothing much going on here, I'm doing a few chores and might work on some more crafts today. Hello my friend. How are you? I'm doing good. Had a busy day yesterday so I didn't have time to leave any comments. Went shopping this morning. Its a breezy and warm day here today. Had a nice weekend spending it with our daughter and two grandsons. They are at that age they are so fun to be around. Everything went fine at the doctor. Every 3 months I get a hormone therapy pellets put in. If you google it you can find out what that is. It helps me so much with my homones. Not much else going on .
