Once more frost on the rooftops this morning. This is reminding me to finish up the cleaning of the flowerbeds these next few days. But in the mean time I need a nice fresh pot of coffee. Hello Pal, well the pork BBQ sure sounds good. Its getting to be the time of year for it I think. As far as smoking it goes. My boys love to make their own pulled pork. Sounds like you had a good weekend with good food and friends. Nice cool weather too, huh? We were in the 80s both days but that still feels good compared to the Summer temps were were having.
A quiet weekend for us, hubby went fishing early Sat. morning with his brother. They caught 18 in all. One of them was a large mouth Bass that hubby caught and it was only 2 inches over the legal limit. They must be 12 inches to keep them and he was 14. Anyway he was big, and he's filleted and in the freezer now along with the catfish and bream they caught. Can't wait to eat them! It's more than we would need for one meal so we'll cook them when we can have more people over to help eat them. My Brother and his GF caught several Whiting in the surf on Fri. when they went to the beach. They cooked them Sat night and brought us a plate with all the trimmings. They are good fish but have lots of little bones. Have to be careful when eating them. Did you see that beautiful full Hunter's moon last night? I know you did, cause you're a Luna lover like me. lol.
Oh, and yes, I am caught up on House of the Dragon now...well, except for last nights episode which I'll stream later today. Yes, it kinda went crazy. Loved the episode and scene where the little boy steals the Dragon. Not sure about the story line going forward but the dragons are still my favorite part and yes, I'll keep watching it. I need to read the book it's based on which is Fire and Blood, if memory serves. Hope the new week ahead is good for you! Beth
Do you have allergies? I have had them as long as I can remember and taken a pill daily for them also as long as I can remember. Well, I really think someone told me I was allergic to grass and dogs. I have 4 dogs and LOVE mowing.
So maybe getting up, up, up and away will help. I love Hot Air Balloons and I love working for Kelly. Hopefully working and being away from dogs for a few hours several days a week will help my allergies.

good morning Pal, well that was a blessing for sure, that the tree missed your roof. I guess your rain has ended now and you're getting good Fall weather. Same here, it's been wonderful, cool and dry. I've been out picking up pecans in the evening. Our main tree is loaded down and it's right near my driveway so have to pick them up so we don't run over them. Yesterday the girls came for lunch. I made some pumpkin walnut muffins and some pig in the blankets. We worked on some more of the little fabric pumpkins. Mostly I did, they have better than vision than me of course so they thread needles for me to do the basting with. Nothing much going on. Planning a baby shower for my great niece next month. It's a Bee theme and she's having a boy. Hope your Thurs. night dinner was fun and that your weekend is good! We will be watching our team play football later tonight, it's 8 o'clock game and hopefully we can stay awake! haha. love n hugs, Beth

Which fall lap blanket do you like. For me I love them all, I am a plaid type of a gal and always has been. We are at 39 for the temp on this crisp cool fall day and the wind is having fun blowing the leaves that have fallen from the trees all around the yard. Such a pretty site to see as fall comes in more and more.

Have you bought your pumpkins yet? Do you buy a truck load to decorate the porch or yard? When do you start carving them?
Our trip yesterday was fun and we bought apple & cherry Turnovers, blueberry and banana nut Muffins, buttermilk Pie, and lots of other stuff. In the stores they have so many things to sell that they don't ship... like breads, rolls, cookies, brownies, and so much more in the display case. People can even order a sandwich to go with all the desserts and eat there or to take home. I am going to tell you that the Apple Turnover we ate this morning was the best we have ever eaten.
