Hi there. Another hot day here. Its in the 90's here and looks to be that warm all week. I'm ready for Fall to get here but it looks like its still going to be warm. Oh well I can't do anything about it. Had a nice weekend, didn't do anything special just stayed at home with the hubby. Wishing you a great Monday afternoon my friend. Today just sounds like a good day to read. Do you have a cat that will cuddle up with you while you read? I don't but I bet there will be a dog in my lap.
Several things could improve on all this. Oh, don't worry, coffee is already in hand, probably an empty coffee cup or already refilled. But RAIN on the other hand is something we are again praying for in Texas. There is none in the 10 day forecast either, just mid 90's.
All I can say is while I do have 3 book shelves full of books (mostly read), the 5,982 items in my Kindle don't take up as much room. Yes, I can't resist a good free book. So for now
Good Morning Pal, I know that's was aggravating to have to make the trip to pick up the medicine 2 days in a row. Did it come yesterday? I guess they deliver time sensitve stuff like meds even on Sundays. They would need to since it needs to be refrigerated. Hope your weekend was good. Nothing much going on here. Hubby finally got a break from yard work since we've gone a week now with no rain. Thank goodness too! The grass is not ankle deep since we dried out. lol. We were able to visit my brother in law at Rehab yesterday. He fell recently and developed a staph infection too. He is doing better though. Afterwards we went to a big Walmart with a good craft section so I could get more fabric. Our little store nearby has such a limited selection.
Yes, everyone is anxious for Fall, including me. I think we have so much heat and humiidty down here we are more ready for Fall so it will cool us off. Of course our Summer temps arrive in May and linger until October it seems. We are still in the 90s here. Queen Elizabeth's funeral has been on since 6 am. I recorded it since I wouldn't be up that early but not watching all 3 hours of it. The hymns they played and sung during the service sounded so sad, I skipped over most of them. Did the spaghetti turn out good? I've never made it with sausage. I made some Apple Pumpkin bread with raisins and walnuts last week. It wasn't as good as the banana bread. Have a good new week!
What are you doing this beautiful Sunday? Do you like to fish? When we had our 500 acres, we had a beautiful pond with catfish and bass. I love to fish in a pond!
But if fishing just isn't your thing, come on over and let's just sit and chill for a while. I am sure we can solve some of the problems surrounding us. There is always a bench nearby where we can sit and share our friendship. Blessings and Hugs are always shared too! The door is always open...
