Hoping you are enjoying your afternoon. Its been a slow one here. Haven't been doing much today as I'm not feeling well. Just taking it easy. Take care my friend and many hugs to you. Cheryl
We have had some cooler starts to our mornings with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80's. However, Fall is not coming to stay in Texas any time soon. We will be in the mid 90's for a while.
Rain will also be scrace again for us. They told us to keep the hoses out and water those plants.
We can't put our hats away just yet. The sun will be beating down on us as we are giving plants a drink every couple of days.
So we will continue to enjoy each day that unfolds before us and give thanks for all our blessings.
I hope you've had a good week so far and also a good start to your day. This swing is my favorite place to be in the mornings drinking my coffee and listening to the birds sing!
Hello Pal, I bet it feels good up your way. We are cooler and drier here but warming up quite a bit in the afternoons. Still, I opened up a few windows this morning to let in the breeze and air my house some. Will have to close them soon and turn on the AC. Yesterday was quiet, doing chores around home and tried a new recipe for homemade rice-a-roni that Darci sent me. It was good and hubby liked it too. Better than the boxed kind with all that sodium it has. Maybe House of the Dragon will get better as it goes on. I haven't watched any of the Lord of the Rings prequel on Prime yet. Mostly I've been watching true crime stuff and Alone season 7 on Hulu. Hope your Thurs. is good and you are still enjoying nice weather. Oh, the hanging plants you mentioned that look like impatiens, is it periwinkels maybe? I have some too and they are blooming like crazy right now. Will send a pic later. hugs from me, Beth
Another beautiful day here, we started out in the upper 50's and right now it's 79*. I got some of my curtains washed (the one that don't have to be dry cleaned) and it not only feels good but smells so fresh in the house. I hope you've had a good day so far and have a wonderful afternoon/evening!
Good afternoon my friend. Hope you are having a good day. Mine has been good. Went and ate dinner with my husband, then came home and did the laundry and took a nap. Its 93* here, kind of warm but not to bad. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and take care. Hugs, Cheryl
May the sun at sunrise make you smile, showing you that another day begins. May the wind take your dreams to God and let everything come true. But when it gets dark and everything gets dark, don’t lose heart. The stars will shine and soon the moon will appear. But, if clouds cover the sky, close your eyes and realize, that not every day ends as we want, but, they can start as we dream.
Yes, we have 3/4 acre for a reason! We don't want to hear what the neighbors are saying, let alone thinking. OK, I love mowing too!
Apple's new iOS update is now available. I have always been the "go to" person for all my friends as far as Tech Support (George, I miss you). However, the older I get, the less sure I am that I can figure all this new stuff out. So, if you hear me screaming... I updated our iPhones and iPads.
Nothing could be more true. But then there is no better "Welcome Home" than from a dog either (or 4 of them).
I think even the dog can figure out the iPad faster than I can do it now. Let me know if you updated your Apple products or not already.
I hope you've had a good day and have a good night. It was a beautiful day here, it started out in the 60's this morning and stayed in the 70's all day. It was an open the windows day for me and I loved it!
Do you share your deepest and darkest secrets with anyone special like a spouse or a friend or in prayers?
The moon is just as important as the sun. It takes both for the plants to grow. After days of rain and darkness, how wonderful does the sunshine feel to you? And how much do we enjoy the night when it is time to lay down and rest?
I don't remember reaching for the sun... but we do reach for the stars and the moon! Ok, last one for a while...
Hello Pal, another soggy weekend for us with a little off and on sunshine. Supposed to have a cool front pushing through late tomorrow that may dry us out and i can't wait! It was a quiet weekend for us. Had to grocery shop after church yesterday, then came home and made a healthy dinner...pecan crusted salmon and baked sweet potatoes. Trying to eat earlier now for different reasons but mostly just because its healthier. The girls are coming later for lunch and we might work on some more fabric pumpkins if we have time. I made 2 new ones last week. I usually sew the stems on and I don't like sewing! Hope your new week is good. huggies, Beth
Have you ever wondered if the moon is at the end of the road? Exactly where is it and where does it go?
There are thousands of clever pictures of people holding the moon but I've never thought about drinking it.
Does the tree grow up to the moon or does the moon grow down to the tree? Which do you think?
The moon could be at the end of the railroad tracks! That is as possible as it being at the end of the road.
But I'll bet that all of you that have been to the beach at night really know where the moon likes to be the best of all. Kissing the edge of the water each night.
