Hello Pal, what have you been up to? Such a busy weekend for me but a good one too. Friday was the picnic trip to the beach with all five kids, as you know. The water was not real clear that day and I like to be able to see the bottom when I'm swimming so I didn't venture out too far! I managed to not get sunburned at least. Yesterday was a moving sale at a dear friend's home so got to visit her and get some good bargains as well. So many lovely things and all of it in good condition too! Today is church and then the 20th anniv. celebration (of the church) afterwards. We are supposed to bring desserts and I had intended to make banana pudding but never made it back to the store for ingredients, I've been too busy. I made a blueberry cobbler instead sine I had everything on hand for that. Our rain finally stopped and we have dried out some. I don't mind that at all even if I do have to water all those plants of mine! Hope your weekend has been good and you are keep cool up your way! Sunday smiles and hugs, Beth

We all need to make time to help others. Sometimes it is doing something good for them. Sharing your smiles helps make others wonder if you are up to no good or just helps to put a smile on their face too.
You might even speak to a stranger, just say "Hello" and make them feel noticed, alive and important. Being kind to someone might also make them smile. You could take a drive in the evening to watch the stars come out. Whatever you do, share your Blessings with others every day.
It was so nice to wake up early this morning and hear it raining. Hopefully this will help everything get greener and my tomato and cucumber plants to make some fruit. I have waited all summer for cucumbers. I have watered them and took them out of the hot sun on my front porch, that was causing them to wilt. Well enjoy your day and your weekend my friend. What is up with this? Someone in Texas has been very, very bad. I sure hope it isn't me! Everyone is getting rain but Texas!
This is what it will probably look like WHEN we do get rain! I am not sure where this picture was taken and although it is beautiful, it is scary at the same time.
I know it is all in God's perfect timing. I also know we have had hot times like this before. Can you imagine what the settlers went through with no air conditioning? I am thankful for A/C and many other blessings, like it's Friday and I am sharing blessings with you!
Good afternoon my friend. Its cooler here today 82* but the humidity is high and we have had a few rain showers. Don't care for the humidity but will definitely take the rain. We need more than just a few sprinkles. Yesterday was just another hot day here. We didn't have any water since the city was working on the water tower in town. So I didn't get any housework done because of that. They finally got that turned back on around 9:30 last night. To late to do any housework then so I'm getting everything caught up today. Just have everything done but the clothes in the dryer will need folded and put away when it gets done. Enough of my chit chat for now. Take care. Hugs, Cheryl

My this week is flying by as I am enjoying my moments doing this and that during these summer days. Hope your days are being ever so nice to you as you do your daily duties. Another cool day bring fall into my mind . Found the other day pumpkin jam. Now that sounds interesting for I so do like apple butter jam. Just might give it a try. In the mean time I do believe I need to fill up my coffee cup with some toasted coconut flavored coffee . Smiles Gloria

Do you think coffee is additive? I love making it because the smell of ground coffee is to me the best part.
I do know that if you drink too much coffee, tea, soda, or anything with caffeine in it when you quit you will have a massive headache. Looks like the person who posted that already knows that. hehehe

Hi Wendy, Glad you got some rain since you were needing it. A busy day for me yesterday out running errands. Got home and it had rained on my king sized quilt on the line. Had to get it in and spin the water out of it. Took my boy dog to the groomer and picked up Apoquel for him at the vet's. They wanted to get snarky with me about it since I had been using 1-800-PetMeds for it recently. I guess they thought I shouldn't be able to get it from both places.
Glad you got to go see the movie. I knew it would be good. Will probably try to see it when it comes on video. You asked before (and I forgot to respond) if I had read Where the Crawdads Sing. Yes, I read it in 2019 when it first came out. It's pretty good. Not as good as everyone is carrying on about though, in my opinion. The movie looks good though. The lawn had its hair cut yesterday and for today is laundry and dusting day.
We are at 62 for the temp this morning and just might get to 70. Loving these cooler days while it lasts. Have a glorious day what ever you plan to do. For me my plan is to get my household duties done and then sit back and have another cup of one of many favorite flavored coffees I enjoy, while finding another piece to the puzzle. Smiles Gloria

I just started this nice summer bird puzzle today as the rain is coming down off and on this morning. We are at 67 for the temp at the moment. Now where is my coffee cup? Nice to have coffee to sip on as one finds pieces to the puzzle. I do believe this will be a nice lazy day doing this and that. Hope your Tuesday is being nice to you. May you have a glorious week.
