Yesterday I put my knee knockers on and got all ready to run errands in this heat! Bank, Herb Mart, Pack & Post, Rosa's taco Tuesday. You know the usual stuff.
I showered and washed my hair. Do you like my new "do" style? Sure is hard work getting ready to leave the house.
I wasn't even going to work but put on some mascara. Also put on my rings, earrings, and necklace along with my smile of course.
We were only gone a couple of hours and boy, does that heat take a toll on my hair! It was even hard to breathe by the time we got home. All the jewelry came off and after taco salad my tummy was full. Then it was time to read my book.
Even Hubby decided it was too hot to start a project after eating his taco salad and decided to take a nap! Now that Tuesday is over, we have to get dressed again today for the Glaucoma doctor.

Hi there Rider - it's another hot day here with temps about 93 and feels like 100. Going to quickly run from the house to the car and turn the AC on full blast when i go out today. Hope you are keeping cool at work and home. Have as an ejoyable day as possible. Hugs, Wedy

I sure hope you can find a shady spot today because our hot sun can burn the skin quickly here. We are trying to get our watering done in the early morning before 8 am or late night after 7 pm. We set a record of 109 yesterday and today is supposed to be our hottest day. Fires near Glen Rose are extremely hot and causing evacuations. Prayers please for them.
We also try to keep enough water in all the bird baths that are up high or on the ground full for all the animals to get a drink or take a bath.
It is so much fun to watch them make a splash. They don't stay long and then you have to be ready to refill their watering hole.
After all, there are others that might need a drink in this hot weather too. It is always nice to share! SMILE! You might just be on candid camera.
Good afternoon. Its another hot one here. Its 99* here. And tomorrow it could get up to 111*, that is to hot. I plan on staying inside like I've been doing except to get out and go get the mail and water my two plants I have outside. Still no tomatoes or cucumbers, lots of blooms but its to hot for them to make anything. I sure hope August isn't this hot. Hope you are doing good and the weather isn't to hot for you. Hello Pal, how was your weekend? Ours was sunny with mild temps and couldn't have been nicer. It was a little humid but at least the sun dried up all that rain from last week. We got 5 inches between Mon. and Fri. I had not had to water outdoors since last weekend. I finally did yesterday, some of the plants that are sheltered had not gotten enough rain to help. I thought my pepper plant had stopped producing but yesterday I found sprouts and/or baby peppers on it. The bugs are eating the leaves but it's still producing. Yesterday I saw a big black snake in my driveway when we got home from the grocery store. (I wrote a blog about that) It was funny because a bird was chasing him and clawing at him. Guess she had a nest nearby maybe.
So far, so good with the Alexa device. It has a camera lens but I havent' used it yet and keep it turned off. I've enjoyed the voice commands though and have listened to some good music and a Dateline NBC podcast. Might use the camera at some point for the furbabies. Have you been getting rain too? We are looking like a lush rain forest here and my Fig tree is full of figs that the squirrels and birds are eating each day. Hope your week is good. I'll catch up with you soon. Beth

The grass is no longer green. It is the color of straw and feels like that when you walk on it too. So no matter how high the water bill is going to be, I must put the sprinkler on in areas with no shade.
I feel so sorry for the birds and bunnies and all of God's creatures. So I have to keep bird baths filled with water and bird seed in the feeders. Hope you can find a cool spot under the trees or in the air conditioner.

I'm still trying to get rid of unwanted company from the party the other night. That's what is happening here.
And I am just laying around trying to recover from the party and waiting for cooler weather. I hope I will find some energy soon. Now they are saying we will be 107-109 and then drop back to 104° for a few days.
I am waiting for rain! Has anybody seen any? We had 5 minutes of a light sprinkle and it went east of us. Please send some much needed downpours our way! Don't forget to invite us to the next party too.
Hello Pal, hope your Fri. night was good, whether you went out for the friend's birthday or stayed home. I don't blame you or your friends about the smoking issue. I don't like it all and hubby doesnt either. He smoked for years but quit 18 years ago and since then he will hurt your feelings if you light up near him. lol. We've had rain nearly every day and it's soggy here. Right now the sun is peeking out and I'm loving it. Hope it will stay out long enough to dry us out some. Oh, the Alexa thing is funny...I thought about that too. I'll be careful what I say in front of her!! lol. Hubby is ready to go for our errands so I'll keep this short. Talk to you soon. Good afternoon my friend. Its a hot one here. Its 102* and breezy. And it looks like its going to be in the 100's for quite some time. I had a busy morning as I went to where my son lives, just a 30 minute trip, and cut his hair for him. Ate with him and his girlfriend, then went to Walmart to get a couple of things that I needed and came back home. Tried to take a nap but all I could do was cough for some reason.
