Its a warm afternoon here. Already in the 90's. I'm hoping August will be cool and rainy. We had that one year, I don't remember when but August was a nice and cool month. We do need the rain though. good morning Pal, Well you got your casserole made in plenty of time anyway huh? lol. Sounds like me not remembering what day it is. The holiday on MOnday must've thrown you off. It's been miserably hot here. Last night about 7 we had brief shower and the sun shone the whole time It was better than nothing though. It felt like a steam bath out there afterwards. There was a pretty rainbow after the rain too. I went to my friend's house yesterday and picked up some food she got from a community based program. She had more than she could use. It was vegetables and some watermelons and other stuff. I gave a large portion of it to the christian ministry my church has for drug and alcohol rehab for men. I know they can use it. Leaving in a bit for lunch with the girls. Hope your day is good and Happy weekend!
Is there any possibility that August will be cooler? We watered plants and then went to Costco, had lunch, and bought groceries. It is just stupid hot!
However, please let me explain. I am NOT in any way wishing for winter. But those of you that like it... enjoy the picture above.
Now if anybody, anywhere has seen the rain, PLEASE send it my way. We are already over 12" below normal and with these hot temperatures our grass is dying and large cracks are appearing in the yard and around the foundations.

Good afternoon my friend. I hope it isn't to hot for you. Its a warm day here. Its 91 here and feels like 97. Went to go get the mail earlier and its a warm day out there. I have noticed on my cucumber plant and tomato plant that I have some blooms on them. Got me all excited. I figured it was to warm to be getting any blooms, but I guess not. Hello Wendy, sounds lke your 4th was good. Glad you enjoyed the fireworks. We stayed home all day. Hubby is getting more antisocial the older he gets. there were fireworks in a town about 6 mles away and we could hear them but not see them. It was muffled and not bad enough to scare my dogs thankfully. I stayed in the AC all day because t's been terrble out there So humid. I finished watching Stranger Things and did inside chores while he weed eated and mowed and trimmed branches. It was a hot day for it but the yard looks so good now. I see the pretty stuff you added to your page. Looking good. Hope your mid week is good. huggies from steamy FL, Beth
