What a difference a day makes! What a blessing from God! We were 97 yesterday after lunch, then it dropped to 74 mid afternoon. Today we started at 60 today and at noon we were only 62! We only got 1/10" of rain but we lost electricity from 10pm until 11:30 pm just as the storms got near us.
It will sure make watering the plants this week much more enjoyable with 4 days below 80°. So I am sharing my Blessings and Hugs with you. Grab them! Welcome home from vacation!
I got out early this morning and did all I could before it got so hot I had to come inside. Then I finished my household chores so now I can kick back and enjoy the rest of the day. I hope you've had a good day so far and have a wonderful afternoon/evening!
Its a beautiful cool Friday here. A cold front came in this morning and its only going to be in the low 70's here. And tomorrow only in the 50's. Hoping for some rain which we need. If we are in the 90's tomorrow, it will tie a record of 15 days in a row in May. Then we are due a cool front and will wake up Sunday morning in the 50's and have several days only in the 70's. Woo Hoo!
Already got the yard mowed this morning because you know what is coming tonight, tomorrow night, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday... possible RAIN. Let the grass begin to grow.

Good Afternoon my friend. Its a breezy and warm day here. Got some rain last night. It was a noisy and windy storm. A branch from one of our trees is down in the front yard. My husband will have to get it cut up this weekend. How are you doing? I'm doing good. This has just been a very busy week. I got excited when I went to the post office and I had a package. Some shirts I ordered came in. Made me happy. Not much else going on. Had to make a run to Walmart this morning and now I have the clothes in the dryer. Good Thursday Morning! It is almost Friday and time for the weekend. This hot month of May has flown by.
We spent most of the day yesterday in the yard. I know, I know, you are surprised and shocked. I put up 3 new wind spinners (the one above came from Costco). The 3 older ones that I have had for many years, I took apart, spray painted, and reassembled.
So now I am heading out to water all the wilting plants from our mid 90's for almost 10 days so that the bees and hummingbirds will pollinate all the flowers.
What a glorious day. The lawn received its first hair cut yesterday . My it looks so nice. Before it happened I just had to pick afew dandelions to put on the kitchen window in the home to give me abit of joy. Now I need to have a cup of coffee. I believe I will have some Neapolitan chocolate, vanilla and strawberry by good&gather to make my day even more special. May you have a nice Wed. day enjoying your moments. Smiles Gloria.

Hi there. Its been a busy 2 days here. And tomorrow we are going to be out of town for my husband's diabetic doctor appointment. So that will be another busy day. This week is going by fast to me. I hope you have been doing good and the weather hasn't been to warm. Its 90 here and windy.The temperatures will be all over the place this week.My tomatoes are coming up but no cucmbers.The container they were in got to much rain water in it one night and I guess it drown the seeds. I need to replant the cucmbers just haven't done it yet. I have 7 little tomatoes plants in one pot. I know that's to many so I will have to pluck some out when they get a little bigger.I will go for now. Take care my friend and enjoy your afternoon. Hugs, Cheryl
I've been planting, transplanting and repotting some other plants. I thinnk I'm almost done with all that part and now waiting for the rain to move in so I don't have to keep watering. I hope you have a good day!
Blessings of rain to start the new week. We ended up with almost 1-1/2" rain. Of course, it was from 10 pm to 4 am with high winds, thunder and lightning. So one dog vibrated the entire night. Of course she is sound asleep now!
Early voting is this week only in Texas for the Party Runoff election and Election Day next Tuesday. We will probably vote tomorrow. Also our vehicle inspections and registrations are due this month and next month. So we have a busy week in store.
We have already had 10 days of over 90° in the DFW area for May with 5 more predicted. And several more high temperature records will be broken, 97°.

Oh how I miss Ruby Tuesday. There was one in Rockwall for years and it has been gone for several years. It was the only one in Texas. I loved eating their salad bar!
Have had a busy Friday and today - hence no comments. Ran around doing chores and grocery shopping for our part of the food on the camping trip. Tomorrow we'll pick the clothes to take and pack our things - there is always something we forget but hope it'll be something little. I think last year we forgot our toothbrushes! I got so hungry today after shopping that instead of going home and waiting to eat after we checked in all the food, we stopped to eat at Ruby Tuesday. We were both so hungry we ate everything including some mozzarella sticks! Have a wonderful and restful day tomorrow. I'll check back in you you when I can. Good nite - good day!
