good morning Pal, wow, they did the fireworks really early huh? None here yet except a random firecracker or two last night. Your pasta salad sounds really good. I would leave out the tomatoes for me. lol. I made garlic french bread and some potato wedges in the air fryer last night to go with the steak hubby grilled. He did the ribs too and they were so good. Yes I got a good deal on the steak. Got 4 big ones and we onlly cooked one last night. I'm trying to get motivated to start cleaining my kitchen so wish me luck on that. haha. Oh, you asked about my ear infecton. It all started with allergies...I get sinus drainage. I think it sits there and creates issues with my ears. Anyway they're better now, been taking my Zyrtec at night. It sure knocks me out. Hope your day is good. Happy Independence Day. Yes, it is July and summertime in the ole town the next 10 days in a row and that is NOT the feel like temperatures. I am having a hard time keeping my plants from wilting. Can you say, "HOT"???
We have had fireworks over our house for 3 nights in a row now. The first two nights were short lived, but last night started at 8 pm as I was watering plants in the back at 95°. At 10 pm we were still 90° and the mosquitos were terrible. Neighbors on both sides of us were shooting off fireworks over our house. Yes, I have videos!

Hello Pal, hope your holiday weekend has been good so far. Nothing exciting going on here. I'm hoping the people in my neighborhood don't go crazy with the fireworks since my dogs and one of my cats are terrifed of them. I remember takng my granddaughter to her first fireworks when she was a baby and she slept through them. lol. Yesterday was busy. Went to the walk in clinic with an ear ache and got some scripts for drops and a nasal spray. Feeling better now. Then went to WD for the meat I told you about. They were busy since they had a good sale going on meat. Then came home and made French bread pizzas for me and the girls. We made some more bracelets with the beads too. What kind of pasta salad are you making? Lately I've been making the one with tri color rotini and italian dressing. I like to add raw broccoli, cauliflower and bell peppers when I have them. We are back in the daily clouds and rain pattern so not as hot, thankfully. Talk to you soon. love, Beth

Hello and good afternoon. Its a hot 97* here. Got the air conditioner and fans going. This week has gone by fast and can't believe that tomorrow is Friday. I hope you are doing good and it isn't to hot for you. My cucumber and tomato plants are doing good. Just to hot to make any fruit. Hello Pal, as I told you in the note my internet has been down most of the day Something hinky going on with Verizon I guess. I use them for my service now. Are you having a good time on your trip? Yesterday was busy. I had a hair appt and picked up the girls on the way and after the appt. we shopped a little. Got new Crayola markers and some elastic cord to make beaded bracelets with a kit we already had. We came home and had lunch, worked on the jewerly and ate Unicorn sparkle ice cream which is actually Birthday cake flavored and really good. We had fun together. Today I've been verryy slowly cleaning the floor in my bedroom. haha. Trying to get motivated but it's not happening so far. Have a safe trip home. huggies, Beth
Is it fall yet? I feel like I have a sweater on because I just finished mowing the yard. I am dripping wet. At 11 am we feel like 95°! Now to tell the truth, I love summer but that will be the last time I mow for a long time if we don't get rain, and I mean lots of rain.
Yesterday I got videos of several birds including the hummingbird above. The blue jay, mockingbird and dove were all taking baths in 3 of the birdbaths. The dove was on the ground birdbath and the blue jay and mockingbird were about 6' apart.

Beautiful sunrise this morning as the dew point was low and so was the humidity. So we got all of the foundation watered with soaker hoses this morning.
I don't have a picture of a hummingbird but as I was watering plants, I got a picture and videos of this Walking Stick. He came up out of the green plant and camouflaged himself as the exact color as the chain.
Have you seen a real Passion Vine flower? They are so beautiful even if they only last one day. There are lots of them though and the butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds are all pollinators that love them. The leaves are used for feeding by the larvae of a number of butterflies. So take some time today to look closely for unusual insects and to stop and smell the flowers.
