Do you smell that? Last night I went outside to take some pictures and Oh! What a difference 10-12° cooler makes. It was only 82° at 8:30pm and the air felt so nice.
Again this morning, can you smell that? I went out before 7 am to take a picture of the morning sky that had a little bit of color in it and it was 70° instead of our usual 80° to start the day. This is from last night...
We had to run a few errands this morning and pick up our Tuesday Taco Salad from Rosa's. It was a short night and already been a busy day. But I finally made it to The Hill. I can't wait to see what you have been up to already.
Then you know where I will be heading since it is only 90° right now. I also have to put Milkweed seeds and some variegated AirPlane plant cuttings in the mailbox for my sweet mail carrier for tomorrow. Even with cooler temps the plants are VERY thirsty. And I saw the hummingbirds late yesterday and early this morning!
Good Afternoon Wendy, thank you always...wishing you a wonderful and safe day...do something fun in the sun,but keep cool my dear friend...nice page and profile picture
Hi Pal, hope your week has been good so far. Our temps have dropped and it's wonderful after the 2 weeks we had of blazing hot weather. Nothing exciting going on here. Got some odds and ends chores done yesterday, stuff I had been putting off. Tomorrow I have a hair appt. and need to run errands. I finished The Night Sky show. Did you see all the episodes? I thought it was quite good and can't wait till season 2. Got all my patriotic stuff put out and my little flags out front. Do you have plans for the holiday weekend? We'll probably grill out and that's about it. Have a good Tuesday!
Hi there my friend. Its a nice, cool and rainy day here. Well the morning was rainy but at least it isn't hot here. I've enjoyed the cooler temperature but the heat will be back tomorrow. Oh well, its to be expected since its summer. Had a nice short trip this weekend. Got to see my oldest daughter and our two grandsons while we were in Oklahoma City. Not doing much. Just getting caught back up on the laundry from being gone. Wishing you a wonderful day and take care. Hugs, Cheryl
Hello Pal, our heat wave finally broke here. Hallelujah! we got a decent rain last night and the temps are much milder. So thankful too. Hope your weekend has been good. The girls came Friday for lunch and we made tacos and taco salads. For dessert I made blueberry cobbler with some of the berries I picked Thurs. We had ice cream with it. So good! June is on it's way out soon. Time flies when you're having fun. talk to you soon. lots of love n huggies, Beth
Yesterday - ate out at a restaurant, Wendy. First time since March 2020. Sat under a big umbrella and let cool breezes waft by. Hope you are keeping cool. Huggles & Luff.
As I am enjoying my morning cup of coffee I thought I would chit chat abit with you. May you have a glorious weekend. We received more rain over night so the grass and the flower beds are happy. My goodness this month is flying by ever so quickly enjoying ones moments of life. Hope life is treating you nicely while your sharing your pretty smile with all. Smiles Gloria
I have already watered all plants in the back as they were completely wilted. I was almost wilted by the time I finished. At 8:30, we are 84° feels like 88° and Hubby is weedeating.
As I walked outside at 6:30 am, I saw a hummingbird. It has been too hot to sit on the patio to watch for them but their feeders are fresh and full. The Turks Cap, dark purple Salvia and other plants are blooming and just waiting for them too.
We are praying for rain Sunday night and Monday along with some cooler temperatures. The area is already 7" below "normal" (do we know normal anymore) for this year and adding an additional 3" below from last year. Fires have just started breaking out again.
But for now the birdbaths are all full of water for the butterflies, birds, and bugs. And the plants, like the milkweed above, are all watered. Wendy, I hope you and Rich have a beautiful day and weekend.
Good Morning Pal, 76 at your house? Oh man, that sounds wonderful. Enjoy those cooler temps for me too. We have had triple digits all week and had them last week too. Supposed to cool off some after today and I could not be happier about that. lol. Yesterday we ventured to the Blueberry Patch at a local farm and it took us about 2 hours to get a gallon of berries each. We nearly had a heat stroke even though we got there early. Had to take a break halfway through and get in the shade and drink water. I came home & fixed lunch for me and the girls and afterward we got under the sprinkler and ate ice cream cones. Best part of the day! Do you have plans for the weekend? I got some yellow squash I need to cook and of course all those berries I will use or freeze soon. Sounds like you have been busy cleaning. I need to do the same as I've been taking a long break from it. hehe. tgif sweet friend and enjoy your day. huggies, Beth
I know I can't top my story from yesterday, so I will just ask if you have something wonderful to share. My blessing today is my Hubby. He dusted and vacuumed... while
I ran a few errands this morning. I am trying to get caught up since I will be working on Friday and Monday. And Hubby will pick up something for lunch tomorrow and eat at the office with me. So it will probably be over the weekend when I will catch up with you.
