Most of the DFW area got rain last night and early this morning. We had 2" between 4:30 and 6 am. There was no sleeping through it as the thunder was loud and the dogs were NOT happy.
Now we have blue skies and it is a beautiful morning. We will have more rain over the next four days and by the weekend we will be in the mid 90's. WHAT? The wind is 20mph right now and the forecast says it will be windy tonight.
Let's just make this a great month no matter what the weather is and have some fun. School will be out soon and vacations will be happening.
Let the dancing and the blessings continue! So glad we are friends! Hugs!
May flowers! I have so many more than this group and love sharing them with you. Do you remember picking flowers for your Mom? I love the variety of flowering plants in my yard.
These are called Teal We Meet Again. Boy, look at those dry and old hands! You can surely tell they love working outside and need more hand cream. The mower was running again yesterday but Hubby is so sore all over his body.
Last night after 11 I was outside again taking pictures of some of my solar lights. Then I got up before 6 am to enjoy the cool front that got rid of our humidity (which was already back before noon). This reminds me, it is almost time for Texas Longhorn baseball.
May Day and Sunday blessings and hugs coming your way as I dance outside and back inside today. Hope you will join me!
Saturday is here and our rain chances seem to have gone away until Sunday night. Today Hubby is taking another shot at getting the new drive belt on the riding lawn mower.
The belt replacement on the mower deck was completed yesterday, but the drive belt has been a challenge even after many youtube videos. Please say a prayer!
I thought I would share a picture of the front of our home. I replaced some of the solar lights that were old. The cross and the light on it makes this one of my favorite pictures.
This is one of my newest additions to put up in the backyard. A solar hot air balloon wind spinner. Yes I have many different balloon wind spinners. Anyway, I guess I had better go check on Hubby and get a few things done today.
Hey! I'd like to go back to when I could walk without planning every step. Well, at least we are reasonably safe on the Globe (for the time being) The world seems in such a shambles (I wanna go home Mummy) Have a good safe day,Wendy.
Hope you are having a great Friday and have a nice weekend my friend. Its a warm day here. Its 85 already and not much of a breeze. I walked to the post office and got rather warm. But its nice in the house with the ceiling fan going. I moved my flower pots from the back yard to the front yard. The other night we got quite a bit of rain and it filled the pots full of water. I have tomatoes and cucumber seeds planted in them. I hope they will survive. Still have lots of water in the potting soil. I pored out as much as I could. We are supposed to get rain on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. I did't think they needed anymore rain so I put them where they can still get sun but not any rain. Well take care my friend, Cheryl
The Lord has blessed us again. Our septic alarm went off at 4 pm yesterday and we called for them to come out this morning to check it. It only cost us a service call to repair a wire (not a new pump $$$).
Now we are getting on with our projects... which may include music and reading! So here is wishing a beautiful weekend for you and your family!
I know how you felt, Wendy, took two people to get me up the other day!! I ordered a sacroiliac belt which arrived yesterday. Tried it on today. Feels good as it comfortably gives support without being irritating. Had 'nuff of being old - giving up and will try to go back a couple of decades.
you're so so welcome...i'm glad you liked the zoo pictures
Thanks for the visit to the zoo Ryder - I love the zoo. Norfolk has one but have never been there. Not too far from where I lived in Jersey but it was all open land and free - of course the monkeys and lizards and such are in cages - but all the big animals are in big open lands. Have a good day at work. Hugs, Wendy
Good morning to you on this glorious day! I went to lunch yesterday with Kelly and Angela. What a blessing! Then we voted on the 2 amendments in Texas as early voting started this week. After that we walked Costco, got Hubby's prescription and a few items on our list.
I do love her expressive eyes! Yes we are working outside today, pulling weeds, getting brush cut up to put in trash cans for pick up tomorrow, and checking to see if any new seeds have burst out above the soil yet.
Hubby is already in for a water break and to let his screaming legs have a rest. Yes, I have dirt under my fingernails already (didn't take time to put gloves on) and now I am sending you "Blessings & Hugs" as I head back outside. Come on over! You are always invited. We can play in the dirt or just sit on the patio and watch the hummingbirds!
Thanks, Wendy. Had a fun day in Morecambe and it's only about 90 minutes from where I live. The weather could have been a bit warmer, but that's England for you lol. Hope you are keeping well. Coffee and Hugs!
Its already a breezy morning here. Going to get up to 85 here. The good thing is that we are supposed to get rain later today. We sure do need it. I wish my allergies would go away. Been sneezing this morning. Well take care my friend and enjoy your day. Cheryl
Good Morning/Afternoon Wendy and Rich...Wishing you a wonderful and safe day my dear friend,i'm taken you to the Zoo...so hands away from the cage and i hope you enjoy your day
