Would you believe I have a pair of red heart shaped sunglasses? Well, I do! And I already feel about the way that guy looks. At 9:30 it was only 79° but after 30 minutes outside watering, I came in with water running in my eyes (SWEAT). Yes it is Humid!
I am grateful for my plants and my friends. Most all my plants are really doing very good this year. I still have a few Bluebonnets blooming in the front flowerbed around the mailbox. And the milkweed plant (for Monarch Butterflies) just opened about half the pods and I gathered seeds and put them in an envelope to share with others.
Hello Pal, yippee for the new fridge! I know you will enjoy it. Sound like you had some good food over the weekend. Fri. was our girls day out and I enjoyed my manicure and shopped a little at TJ Maxx and at Lowe's for some gardening items and got hubby a Father's Day gift and put it up for now. It's a tool he's been needing for a long time. Glad you got the clock fixxed. How neat that it's a family heirloom. Sounds like my old Pie safe that we got restored last year. It' wonderful to hand things down through the years like that.
We had some neighborhood excitement last night. Not sure what it was exacty but there were blue lights flashing nearby and very loud voices in what sounded like an argument and this went on for an hour or so. My dogs heard it first and started barking and at first I thought it was someone walking down the road drunk . Must've been an accident or a domestic issue, not really sure but I was glad when it all settled down.
I've seen the first season of The Flight Attendant. Just finished Inventing Anna on Netlfix. It's based on a true crime that took place. Heading into re-runs on regular tv so glad to stream some new shows. Hope your day is good!
The weekend is almost over but the sunshine is not. So we just have to sing the song and enjoy every day. Do you have a favorite pair of sunglasses?
Of course my favorite ones are orange. I have so many pairs to choose from and I rarely wear them at all. I got a few chores done today like hummingbird feeders refilled, indoor plants watered, a new block of bird seed put out (probably for the squirrel), and I always have several plants outside that are wilted.
Now as it is getting near sunset I am sure I will go out and take some pictures as I wonder what the rest of the world has done today. I love both sunrise and sunset! Which is your favorite and why?
Good afternoon my friend. Its a warm afternoon here. It says its 82 and feels like 84. Its partly cloudy and breezy. I feel warm in the house but got fans running so it shouldn't feel to bad. But I still have my cold but its a lot better.I got a good nights sleep last night. I took some cough syrup and boy did that help. At least my throat doesn't hurt when I swallow so I'm thinking I should be over this cold soon. And I'm happy about that. We have a chance for rain tonight and my plants that I planted in pots are looking good. Just need to grow a lot more. Well take care my friend and enjoy your afternoon. Hugs, Cheryl

The Arlington/Mansfield area had around 5" rain yesterday afternoon where we had 1/10". Get ready, we are due upper 90's for the next week starting tomorrow. The "feel like" temperature will be over 100.
Goodbye to cooler temperatures and cloudy days for a while. Ready or not, here comes summer and what perfect timing with school out. I must admit, I am NOT ready for the electric bill next month. Wendy, I couldn't function without second fridge in the garage. But the freezer needs defrosting this summer.
It is almost time for Longhorn softball and then Longhorn baseball. So I had better get lunch served.

Hi there my friends.I'm slowly getting better. My throat is still sore but I have been gargling with salt water everyday and that is helping. Today is the first day I have ached all day which is a plus. Its a cloudy and cool day here today. We have a chance for rain tonight. My cucmber seeds have come up and are doing good.
