Mowed yard this morning! Visited with Kyle Kid! Visited with Gloria (sunnysmile4u) in Canada via Alexa (like FaceTime). And I just can't decide which graphic to send to you... so pick the one you like best.
Now time for Grilled Cheese and Cherry Pie! Then I'll ready for a while until temperature and humidity go down!
Good morning Pal, did you get a new fridge because you needed a bigger one? I love my French door fridge with the freezer in the bottom. Someone finallly got the design right with that idea. It brings everything up to eye level where you can see what's in there. I used to not clean my old fridge out as frequently because I couldn't see what was in there without standing on my head. lol. We are heating up here too, 90s each day this week and it's taking no trouble at all to coax the dogs back in now as they aren't fond of it either. My little pepper plants are making peppers now even though one of them nearly drowned while I was in Missouri. Hope your new month is off to a good start so far. huggies, Beth
Where does the time go? Half the year is almost gone! And here I am to share my Blessings with you again. I know you are grabbing some!
Last Friday I drove an hour to a mall in Frisco just to see my girls and to spend some quality time with my precious DIL, Evelyn. Nicole # 4 in gold top and Michelle # 6 in flowered top. After lunch at the CheeseCake Factory, they all went off in their own groups and I went with Evelyn to return the 2 dresses that Nicole didn't keep.
I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such an AWESOME husband. That sly grin turns into a beautiful smile and the most wonderful laugh!
Thank you for prayers for Kyle Kid, George! He called earlier today and is home from the hospital after the aFib episode. I looked for his picture from several years ago where he won an award from the school but haven't found it yet. Besides, I thought this was a great picture of how much fun he had as a crossing guard. The newspaper went to the school and took a bunch of pictures of him for a special story they did. Please continue to keep him in your prayers as he will find out about continuing the radiation treatments and the chemo pill he is taking that is affecting his vision which is why he isn't on The Hill very much right now.
This Memorial Day, our deepest gratitude goes to the fallen men and women who gave the citizens of the United States a chance to make this world a better place.
Hello Pal, hope your holiday weekend has been good so far. Ours has been quite warm and sunny. Just perfect for the beach but the crowds are bad down there I know. We went to Destin a few years ago for the Mem. Day weekend. That's the last time I'll make that mistake. Hubby has been mowing here in our yard, cleaning out guttters and mowing up the road at our family cemetery too. I've been puttering around the house doing chores and I'm going to make a pineapple upside down cake in bit. Hope you're keeping cool up your way. Summer is definitely here even if the calendar says its still Spring. Have a good new week.
Just want to say "Thank you for your sacrifice and service!" to all, especially those that gave their life. Many people do things everyday that affect us in one way or another and they don't even realize it. And thanks to all those in other countries that support our Memorial Day. All of them have family and friends that have served.
Quick update on Kyle Kid... I talked to George on the phone just a bit ago. He is still in the hospital because of the AFib episode. But he sounded much stronger than he did last week. Thanks for your prayers!
A sunflower is always sun-kissed.” “Like a single sunbeam on a warm summer day, there is an exuberance and brilliance in a sunflower.” “Stand tall and face the sun.” “Advice from a sunflower. Be brightsunny and positive

Last week we had summer temperatures of around 28 degrees Celsius and it has been cold for a few days now, only 14°C and always a strong wind. That's not enough: The water in my place of residence has been contaminated since yesterday. Now I always have to boil the water and then let it cool down again in order to drink it or use it for other things, e.g. brushing my teeth. My coffee no longer tastes good because the current water contains chlorine. When I use a kettle it takes forever for the water to cool down, a nightmare!
My desktop PC has finally given up the ghost. The problem, I didn't back up all the files from there and that's why they don't exist on my laptop. That's why I'm not able to send greetings often, but I think of my friends and you every day.
With best regards for a relaxing weekend, your Angelika
