Hello Pal, the sun finally came out this morning after 3 days of rain. Sure am glad because we need to dry out. My plants have been happy for all the moisture though. Do you have plans for the holiday weekend? We'll be hanging out at home and maybe grilling out one day. Will be leaving in a bit with the girls for lunch. TGIF and enjoy your day! huggies, Beth
Its a beautiful day here today. The sun is shining, have a light breeze and it in the mid 70's. I need to go out and feed the birds. I fill the bird feeder and in one day they have ate it all. I mostly have sparrows and finches at my bird feeder. I like to watch them. Well enjoy your afternoon and evening my friend and take care. Hugs--Cheryl
I awoke to such beautiful colors in the sky. I had to hurry to catch the rays before the colors disappeared. The cooler temperatures seem to make such a difference.
I even went out to the front today to get a different view of God's painting. I noticed a limb on the tree near the mailbox was broken at the base of the tree because of all our high winds.
So a combination of the cooler temperatures and a broken limb lead to trimming the tallest tree in our yard. We hate to have to duck when cutting the yard on the riding mower.
As we keep cutting off the lower limbs, we have to keep using a taller ladder. Glad our grands keep growing taller so they can still reach a limb to climb the trees. It is always nice to have tall friends and family too. Thanks for being my sweet friend, Wendy.
good morning Pal, yep, I finally did a trouble shooting thing on my laptop and fixed the internet connection issue. I'm glad to have it back since all my graphics are stored on it. Been using my son's chromebook for weeks now. Has it been raining up your way? We are very soggy here but it should clear up by the weekend and I hope it does We had rain here while i was gone too and even more flowers had popped out. Hope your PT is helping still. Have you tried any CBD products? I got something called Happy Dance body butter with CBD in it for Mother's Day and it seems to be as effective as the over the counter muscle rubs. I know it is after NooN but what a good morning we had. First was last night, rain was predicted for us the last 3 days and lots of areas around DFW got 3" or more of rain before we even got one drop. But after 10 pm the rain started and we ended up with just over 1". I don't have to water today and my buckets are full of runoff rain.
Yes, this morning I have a big smile on my face. Texas Longhorns baseball won the first game of the Big 12 Playoff. Now if we can just keep up the great pitching and batting! And tomorrow the Texas Longhorns girls softball start Regional Playoffs as the boys will have another game too.
Of course I am also kind of sad today. It is Nicole's last day of middle school. This afternoon she will be a High Schooler. Oh no! However, we are so proud of her and her sister this year for all their awards and achievements.
While you were away Wendy we had a tornado run thru. Many killed and homes/autos totally wrecked. Luckily we only had a power outage and many trees down. Very scary.

Hubby trimmed plants (yaupon) and I trimmed the low branches on a crape myrtle tree and a juniper tree. We are still waiting on the promised 95% chance of rain, it is getting closer to us.
As soon as I get my shower, I think I will read my Romantic Comedy by Emma St. Clair, "the Buy-In". Laughter is good for the soul and this book about a small town is funny. So...
Good afternoon my friend. We had a cold front come through on Thursday so it has been on the chilly side here and cloudy since then. I won't complain about the cooler weather as by the end of the week it will be back in the 90's. We have a really good chance for rain tonight and most of the day tomorrow. So happy cause we need the rain. I got my cucumber seeds planted again yesterday. So hopefully they will grow and I will have some. My husband got the yard mowed yesterday and was almost done with the side yard when a belt broke. So he has to get a new one today.
