Blessings of rain to start the new week. We ended up with almost 1-1/2" rain. Of course, it was from 10 pm to 4 am with high winds, thunder and lightning. So one dog vibrated the entire night. Of course she is sound asleep now!
Early voting is this week only in Texas for the Party Runoff election and Election Day next Tuesday. We will probably vote tomorrow. Also our vehicle inspections and registrations are due this month and next month. So we have a busy week in store.
We have already had 10 days of over 90° in the DFW area for May with 5 more predicted. And several more high temperature records will be broken, 97°.

Hello Wendy, glad you were able to get a pedicure before your trip. I need one too but they usually manage to hurt me since I have very sensitve feet after foot surgery. I did get an eyebrow wax on Fri. We had a good girls day out with lunch at one of our favorite places and then shopped at Target and a couple of other places. Hope your trip is lots of fun and that you have a good time with friends. Remember to wear your sunscreen and bug spray! Oh wait, that's Florida. lol. I was so sleepy last night and it was hard to stay awake and keep checking the eclipse. I finally gave up about 11:30. It was very cool to watch it though and so glad the clouds stayed away. Oh, meant to say my laptop is working fine. It's something to do with the settings and the way it connects to the internet. I'll get it figured out eventually. haha. Well I'm off to run errands and pick up the egirls for the day. huggies, Beth
Oh how I miss Ruby Tuesday. There was one in Rockwall for years and it has been gone for several years. It was the only one in Texas. I loved eating their salad bar!
Have had a busy Friday and today - hence no comments. Ran around doing chores and grocery shopping for our part of the food on the camping trip. Tomorrow we'll pick the clothes to take and pack our things - there is always something we forget but hope it'll be something little. I think last year we forgot our toothbrushes! I got so hungry today after shopping that instead of going home and waiting to eat after we checked in all the food, we stopped to eat at Ruby Tuesday. We were both so hungry we ate everything including some mozzarella sticks! Have a wonderful and restful day tomorrow. I'll check back in you you when I can. Good nite - good day!

Hubby got a new belt on the lawn mower yesterday evening so I got the backyard mowed. Today he is already washing my car and will probably wash the orange Tahoe too.
Even after 2 cups of coffee, I am moving slowly. I walked around the backyard and decided I really need to spray for bugs. So I came in to the computer room instead. We are already 80 and have 7 days or more of mid 90's with light winds.
Now I can hardly wait to hear from you and see what you are doing this weekend. After all, just one more cup of coffee should get me started.
Good Afternoon. Its a lovely day here only in the mid 80's and a breeze. Its been a busy day here. Went and ate lunch with the hubby at noon then came back and finished my housework. Our house stays cool with fans going and in the evening I open the windows and let the nice cool air in. Got a little chilly last night but it felt good to sleep in. It has been a good day so far. We got several of our todos completed already. And yesterday at work was fun as always with Kelly there.
I can't believe how fast the weeds are growing. We just got mulch put down and here the weeds are peaking through. We are going to be in my mid 90's for the next 7 days. Where did Spring go? In a week or two, kids will be out of school! The beach will soon be crowded. Glad you are getting ready for vacation.
Well, whatever you are doing this weekend, have fun and share your smile. Hopeful Hubby will get the riding lawn mower deck cutting again. Guess I had better fix a late lunch or early dinner before I water my plants (note the milkweed in this picture for the Monarch butterflies).

Hi there. Its another warm afternoon here. Its cloudy but no rain. we could use some rain. Send some my way if you have any. Not much going on. We are going to have to get a new air conditioner soon. Ours is having problems. We just have a window unit. Right now I just have fans going. I was feeling kind of warm earlier so I plugged in my box fans around the house. Feels much better. Hello Wendy, haven't been online much this week as I'm having internet issues again or I should say my laptop won't connect to the internet for some reason so I've been using my son's old laptop. It's a chromebook and much different than what I'm used to but thankfully it still works well. Also my 4 year old kindle (which I use so much) died last night. That was upsetting but I had a back up. lol.
Hope the PT is still helping you and your doctor called in your refill. Everything is done with computers now days, even our script refills I think. We've had a lovely cool week here with temps in the 50s early and late each day. It's been so nice and you couldn't ask for better in Florida. Next week Summer will be knocking at our door. Haven't seen the girls in a week or more because they've had colds. They are better now and will be seeing them later this week probably.

I had to be outside real early this morning to catch this beautiful sunrise, 6:20 am. Now, don't be shocked, but I haven't been back outside since then. And even more shocking is that I cooked today.
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs and Carrot Zucchini Casserole from Allrecipes. I know, crazy good. But today I am feeling guilty because I work tomorrow. hehehe
Tomorrow while you are enjoying the day, I will have makeup and real clothes on (still in my gown now!) and Hubby will have leftovers! If I can save up enough $ to go to the grocery store and buy cabbage, my next recipe is from happygirl44, Shirley, called Cheesy Ritz Cabbage Casserole. I found one similar on RecipeLion. Of course it may be a while because I sure don't want everyone thinking that I often cook.
