Hi Wendy: This has been/still is the longest winter I can remember (what happened to global warming?) We too have snow today plus ice pellets and freezing rain to come. Well, anyway, just to remind you............
good morning, more storms moving in soon, the wind is picking up again and the humidity is building. Need to make a run to the store soon for cat food I guess. Sounds like you've had good weather for the last week of March. Have a good mid week! huggies, Beth
You will get a new hair do here if you go outside. The wind is awful. I made a trip to go to Walmart as I needed a pair of black pants. We have a funeral to go to out of town on next Monday. I should of waited until Thursday when the wind isn't supposed to blow. There were places that fields were blowing dirt across the road and you could barely see the dotted line. Made me kind of nervous. But I made it home. I have clothes going in the washer and dryer now. Not even going to think about dusting. It would be pointless. Its 80 out today. Would be a great day to go outside if it wasn't for the awful wind. Well enough about the weather. I hope you have a great afternoon my friend and take care. Cheryl
Hang on to your hat and tie down everything! We worked in the yard yesterday morning; then we ran a couple of errands. Today I mowed and bagged weeds while Hubby worked in the flower beds.
Wind is at about 25 mph with lots of gusts. Our wind warning starts in a couple hours. I thought the wind was going to pick up one of the dogs and carry them off. Late tonight we have rain and storms.
So after a Taco Salad for lunch, I think I will sit and read the new book I started yesterday. I am sure we will watch the Aggies and Longhorns baseball game this evening too. it will be a completely packed sold out game! Tell me, what are you doing today?
Hello Wendy, well the hummers are back and each evening we watch them fight over the feeder. They are so cute but super aggressive with each other. I think it's a male and a female. Well at least you didn't have any kind of painful work done at the dentist. I'm a big baby when it comes to going to the dentist but I make myself go anyway. Glad you got to see the camper and hope it works out for you and Rich to get it. Gas prices here are about the same that you mentioned, around 3.99 a gallon, give or take a few cents. Walmart seems to be the cheapest. I got my pepper plants set out yesterday in nice big containers as they didn't do well last year in what we planted them in. I think they were overcrowded. Yes me and the girls had a good time at the park last week and the flowers were so colorful and pretty. The place was huge and we walked a long way so it was good to go on a pleasant day. Still we were tired and thirsty when we left. The girls call me Nana. Abby was born when I was only 42 and couldn't see being a Granny or Grandma then. lol. Now it wouldn't bother me though. She is graduating HS in May. Hard to believe. Hope your Tuesday is good. We are warming up each day here supposed to be 86 this afternoon!
Hello Wendy, sounds like you had a busy weekend. I don't eat oysters either. Never learned to like them but hubby sure does. I'll choose chicken any day. Friday the girls and I went to a state park that has a botanical gardens. That was the pics I posted on Facebook. It was so lovely there and we couldn't have asked for better weather. There's a historic home on the property that has been turned in to a museum and we toured that as well.
Our Sat. was quite breezy too and the wind was chilly but still we had a lovely Spring weekend. No flash floods or storm warning so it was success in my book. We've had such volatile weather lately and more than enough rain. I got some pepper plants over the weekend and got them set out this morning. I noticed they were a full dollar more a plant than they were last Spring when we bought some. It's ridiculous the way the prices have skyrocketed on everything. We are feeling the pinch at the pump and the grocery store. Were y'all able to go look at the camper you mentioned? I've been wanting one for a long time but if had now I feel like it would be staying parked till gas prices come down. I've had a busy morning catching up on laundry, washing quilts to hang out while the weather is nice. Made some peanut butter cookie dough too. Hope your day is spent doing fun and relaxing things. sunny day hugs, Beth
Here we are getting ready to start a new week. Looking back on the weekend and wondering what fun did you have?
Did you watch the sun rise with a friend on FaceTime? And get to see the deer run across the road, about 9 of them?
Did you get to see your son dance with his daughters at a Granger Smith concert at Billy Bob's? And just beam with pride!
Did you get to spend the day with friends and eat the most delicious brunch in Tyler? And share your smile with a stranger on the street that led to a beautiful conversation.
Have you ever joined in prayer with a service dog? Peyton is Bill's service dog that does so many things to help him every day.
Have you been to a candy store that makes all their own candy? Our friends took us to the Lindale Candy Store and you would think you were in Heaven surrounded by chocolate and marshmallows. If you like that kind of thing!
Yes, we are very blessed and have given the Lord lots of Thank You prayers for our safe travels, for family, and for our precious friends... like you!
Everything is in bloom and so beautiful but the pollen is high! It's killing my sinus's! Oh well that's something we have to deal with this time of year. I hope you have a great day!
