Are you wearing green? I am wearing orange (big surprise) with maybe a hint of hidden green.
I know! I can wear a hat. Do you have a hat to wear?
OK! Everybody looks like they are ready to go to the St. Patrick's Day party. Do we have to bring something to eat? I want something green to drink, maybe green tea!
Do you know what time you will be here to pick me up for the parade and the party? Which pair of dancing shoes are you wearing? May I have this dance?
Hi there. Thought I would send you a pretty rose today. I used to have a beautiful tropicana rose bush that made the biggest roses I have ever seen and smelled so good. But it died several years ago. I miss those roses. They would smell up the whole house. I won't be on here tomorrow or Friday and the weekend. We will be out of town visiting our oldest daughter and our grandsons. Tomorrow is supposed to be windy and cool. Don't like traveling in the wind. Well have a good rest of your week my friend and take care. Cheryl
Midway through the week and washing lots of muddy dog towels. Yes, we forgot to put the doggy door on first thing this morning.
Do you have any magic up your sleeve? Or anything magical planned for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow? Will you be wearing green?
Cats may be finicky eaters but I bet they don't come in with muddy feet or mud caked between their toes! Thank goodness it is warm and they can stay outside until we get everything vacuumed and mopped. Then they will all get a bath and we will start the entire process over again.
good morning Wendy, our day started off damp and gray but the sun is coming out now and it's brightening up the day. I wasn't out yesterday to enjoy the weather because it poured most of the day. I always dislilke the rainy days for the dogs sake as they love to play outdoors. We need the rain though and everything is greening up nicely from the rain we got last week and before that too. The power company has been working nearby installing hurricane proof power poles and I hear the jack hammer noise off and on all day. Thankfully it's not too bad as they're not on my road but the next road up from me. Well you'll have to send me the split pea soup recipe. Never made it either but isn't it made with Lentils? I know lentils are super healthy for you. Oh I'm like Rich...can eat soup every single day and it won't bother me. Nothing special going on here...I was going to invite the girls to a St. Pat's Day lunch tomorrow and make a Lemon-Lime poke cake with green frosting but they are sick with colds and so we'll have to wait on that. Sure hope your midweek is shaping up to be to good. sunny day hugs, Beth
Good afternooon my friend. Its a nice day here. At least the wind isn't blowing like it was yesterday. I have tulips slowing coming up. That is all the flowers I have to come up. My husband calls them weeds cause they come up every year. But I really like them. They are red and have a yellow middle. Not much going on here today. I'm still getting used to this time change. I feel tired all the time. Hopefuly it won't be much longer and my body will be used to it. Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Cheryl
It might be just one of those days! Do you know what to do to change that? Share your smile with others.
After our 1" of rain we are smiling except when the dogs come in the doggy door with wet and sometimes muddy feet. Then they do something cute and irresistible and make us smile again.
They could leave the time here but NOT on regular. Yes, I LOVE the extra hour. It makes all the difference in the world. And I love getting up and waiting for sunrise.
The weekend is gone, spring forward is done, and Monday is half over. Time flies when you are having fun. Wonder what Ole Mother Nature has in store for us this week. Tonight we have a chance of rain... YIPPEE and medium size hail... HISS
So today we are going to laugh and share our smiles with everyone we encounter. It is a great day to count our blessings and your friendship is among them!
good morning Wendy, I bet your snow was so pretty. That weather system over the weekend pushed snow pretty far south. Sounds like you are all set for meat for awhile. There's no butcher shops near us but I wish there were. Everything is so expensive in the grocery store, esp. meat. Storms blew through Fri. night and yes, lots of folks lost power like you heard on the news. Fortunately we weren't one of them but people nearby were. The wind was awful. We had branches down in the yard everywhere. We picked up some of them yesterday but still have a messy yard. So now we get used to DST all over again. Hubby likes it better so he can do more chores outside after work each day. We have rain coming back in tomorrow so today I'll enjoy being outside in the sun and tending to all my plants. Hope your day is good and that you're sleeping better.
