Got to see my kids on Sunday! The girls played guitar hero and they may not have much rhythm but they are good. They both get very good grades in their advanced classes and are pretty good in sports too. Field and track starts today and they are both in track and various other fields like discus and shot put and relays, maybe pole vault.
It ends up that I am working Wednesday too... so here I am on NOTH when I should be fixing dinner or paying bills or... And, here I am telling you...
good morning Wendy, did you have a good weekend? Ours was warm and sunny and so nice. Hubby cut grass and did yard work yesterday and I cleaned up inside. So much cat hair. Ugghh. My cat always sheds her winter coat and she has more than enough hair. lol. Also went to the dollar tree after chuch and got a few things for Easter crafts. Found a tutorial for a candle ring on You Tube that I'm going to try. I made Brenda Gant's recipe for country style ribs last night but I didn't pull the pork and put sauce on it at the end like she does. i left them whole and put sauce on just part of them since Hubby doesn't want the sauce. Hope your lasst day of Feb. is good....here comes windy March!! Yesterday morning I got up early and saw Venus, Mars and the Moon lined up in the Southeastern sky low on the horizon. It was so pretty. I have a big window that faces that way so I didn't have to go outside to see it. I went back to bed and back to sleep after that. The sun is shining! The ice is melting! It is Friday! Softball and Baseball games will be on later today. What a glorious day God has made. I already had calls from 2 friends that shared stories of miracles of their answered prayers. We will be cold again tomorrow and hopefully after that a warm up is on the way.
What do you do when it doesn't get above freezing for two days and one more to go? Well, I worked in the computer room. Got 7 year old taxes ready to shred, filed paperwork, threw away old boxes to be recycled, paid bills (until I ran out of money) and now I need to eat something today as it is almost Friday!
We had a Ruby Tuesday in Rockwall and I loved the salad bar. It was always so fresh. I hated when they left because there isn't another on in Texas that I know of now. Reminds me... I haven't eaten anything yet today... Guess I'd better go find something after a trip around the Hill.
good morning Wendy, well you got lots done from the sound of it. I hate vaccuuming but make myself do it about every other week. Ha! I don't have much carpet anymore, just some large rugs in 3 rooms, the rest is hardwood. Haven't made cube steak in awhle, sounds so good with mashed potatoes. Enjoy your dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. I love their salad bar. Yesterday was another warm one. It's hard to believe we're having these temps in Feb! Next week March will bring the cold back with it but supposed to still have pleasant day time temps. Oh, the antibiotic I referred to was eyedrops with AB in it. I had the dropless surgery so don't have to do the drops daily, thankfully. I had to use the AB drops just one day before each eye. The light sensitivity is better now, just bothers me when I'm tired. Hope your day is happy!
Yes! We are having another ICE storm. So many wrecks on the main roads that have overpasses. But today there is school and the buses are running. Go figure! We are at 24 with freezing rain and snow. It will be mid Friday before our temperatures are above freezing.
