good morning Wendy, well I got up early so had time for a quick howdy to my Hill friends. No coffee for me this morning though, bah! Only clear liquids.Maybe I won't get a headache. I usually do if I skip coffee. I don't blame you for wanting to eat somewhere else besides the post. The lady who keeps her own tips...so tacky! Iguess your snow has melted by now? We had a very cold weekend but it should warm up to the 70s later in the week. Wish I could share that with my friends up north! I did a pot roast last night. Sure turned out good. Hope your Monday is good as we say goodbye to January. I'm always glad to see it end. lol.
This is what is coming our way. WHAT??? Can you say global warming? I am freezing today even though I uncovered plants and moved plants out of the garage into the driveway. I will be covering and moving again very soon. Brrrr! Snow, Ice, Sleet - no thank you!

I got half the house vacuumed. Hubby is now cleaning toes every day so I take the dressings off and put them back on. However, the pin in the little toe keeps wanting to come out. He doesn't see the doctor again until the 10th. So after a phone call to the on-call doctor, Hubby took the pin in his little toe out himself. Enough said! We won't talk about that any more.
By the time I get back here to visit with you, we will probably have snow and be really freezing even though we started at 28 this morning. Having that for a high instead of 70 is not my idea of fun. But I'll drink to that with you!
I have had the best morning reading all your posts. Makes me smile and warms my heart. Praying for those who are getting high winds and tons of snow. Seems like even with the sun shining most of us are very cold.
I really don't know how you live in weather like that and how all the animals and birds survive. I love that my girls sit in the chair with me to keep me warm.
Now it is time for me to get busy around this house. OK, I need to do my nails too. But after next week I sure hope you have more time to get this house straightened up. Dust bunnies are running rampid around here. There might be an abundance of dog hairs too.
good morning Wendy, yes the roasted sausage and potatoes is a sheet pan meal. It has peppers and onions too. It's really a meal by itself but sometimes I make cornbread to go with it. Is the seafood/noodle place an Asian restaurant? We don't have many places close by to eat so it's more of a weekend outing for us. Enjoy your chicken dinner tonight. We have a cold weekend coming too, though it will be milder this far south. It will feel cold for us as it could dip into the teens tomorrow night. I guess the cold is hard on all the strays. There was a stray cat outside my window last night and he tried to attack my cat Maisy. I got her inside quickly when I heard all the commotion. I would feed all the strays but that's how you end up with a feral cat colony at your house and I'm not ready for that. Well have a good weekend pal. Hope you only get snow and not rain or ice.
Good Morning Pal, what have you been up to today? How nice that Rich can do your roots. I need to have mine done too. The last color I used turned out good . Used 2 whole boxes for all over color but can just use one for the roots and top part. I got my hair cut yesterday and it feels better. Your chuck roast sounds good. I have one in the freezer that I'll cook soon. For now I have some chicken in the instant pot, will make a casserole for supper and have some leftovers for tomorrow. Yes, I think we all have lots of cold coming this weekend. My granddaughter will get some snow I expect, where she lives in Mo. Have a good night out with friends. huggies, Beth
