Just collected eggs after our Rosa's Tacos meal. Earlier this morning the orchids got their cube of ice for the week. Hummingbirds got fresh food in the feeder.
Halloween nails got put on. Showered & washed hair (should have colored it). Filled up car with gas. Lottery tickets bought. A load of clothes got washed.
So now it is time to chill and read my Kindle app because it is very near 100° and too hot to sit even on the covered patio today. Wednesday Hubby has an appointment with a vision eye doctor and Thursday he has an appointment with a glaucoma eye doctor (hence car filled with gas).
Oh Wendy, I am so sorry about the shot in the eye again. Is that for life? Fresh eggs, unwashed, keep at room temperature for a month or more. Once you wash them you must refrigerate them and they keep for almost that long. Now, orange you glad I'm done.
Guess what we are doing this week... collecting eggs! We are getting 6 fresh eggs a day. Our friends came over yesterday for a visit and I gave them all the eggs we had, which was between 2 and 3 dozen (all fresh).
So today, we are patiently waiting for the six hens to take turns on the nest. There are several nests in the coop but they all lay their eggs in one nest. So when you open the top, all six, 3 white (Leghorns) and 3 brown (Rhode Island Reds) are all right there together.
Isn't that strange? Soon they will be able to hatch chickens because they have one rooster added to the mix now. They lost two young chickens (out of three) they had in a different pen. So they traded the last young one for a rooster because the older hens would pick and peck on the younger one.
Guess I had better go figure out what to do for our meal of the day. Bills are already paid, grass has been mowed, and I am getting hungry. So share your smile and know that I am sending Blessings and Hugs your way everyday.
Kisses are the best way to wake up. Woo Hoo! We made it to the weekend. College Football day is my favorite day.
I sure hope you are getting out and having fun this weekend. Our temperatures may reach 90° again today, but it is so wonderful early in the mornings to be in the upper 50's.
Hubby is outside washing the Orange Tahoe. I think I will take the dogs for a walk. Now, if you believe that about me, I do have some Ocean Front property in Arizona for you.
Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today. Don't forget to share that beautiful smile of yours with everyone you see.
Wendy, praying you are feeling better and sorry you had to cancel your trip.
I thought I would start today with words of wisdom or a wisecrack, however you look at it. Now that we are off to a great start for Thursday, where did the week go?
Yesterday, we made it to Costco, Wednesday enchiladas lunch, post office, and Walmart for over $200 of WHAT? I don't know. Got a load of laundry done, dishwasher run, and Chicken & Biscuit Dumplings made (and some eaten).
Take a deep breath because that is a FULL day for me. Hubby has already watered the front again today. Today is probably the last day for these beautiful cool temperatures for us for a while, but it has been two wonderful days.
Now I am off to finish reading comments and replies. Then if I don't get a shower, that giraffe might just fall over in a dead faint. Glad smell-a-vision isn't real or you might just pass out too! Thanks just for being my friend and telling me all about your day too.
Wendy, I always take pictures of the big, beautiful, full moon but Hubby says, I have seen the moon before. hehehe
Sending my best wishes on First Day of Autumn, as we all get ready for this amazing season when leaves turn in their most beautiful colours in their last days...mk
A glorious Wed. day to you. Fall is in the air! Enjoying some pumpkin spice flavored coffee on this day while doing the household duties. Smiles Gloria

Amazing how Monday just shows up on a regular basis. I have successfully ignored the morning. Well, I have made some calls and paid some bills and looked at several websites (shopping, Not shopping) and now it is afternoon.
Hubby got the front watered this morning. We were about 100° yesterday and will be again today... but tomorrow our high will be 82° with lows in the mid 50's. Yippee Yahoo.
Even though we have almost no chance of rain, we will keep watering and say, "Thank You Lord for the blessings of cooler temperatures." I know the hummingbirds are migrating through South Texas. My friends there sent videos of 10 or more hummers at their feeder at one time. It was so hot here that I just took a video of my hummingbird sitting near and protecting the feeders.
So guess I had better go find something for lunch. Something else that is amazing is how often my tummy growls to indicate that it is time to eat again... every day.
I didn't know you could even drive to the outer banks. Interesting.
