We had a beautiful Friday evening! Wendy and I sat on the patio watching hummingbirds and cardinals and small birds galore. We listened to the guys talking inside and their laughter. Then they came back over Saturday and we met them for Mexican food and another visit full of smiles and laughter. We got some light rain on and off but Austin and Central Texas got very heavy rains.
This morning we had a bit of sunshine while East Texas was getting the heavy rain. But now we are cloudy and dreary again even though it doesn't show clouds in our area and there is still some blue peeking through.
I'm off to the patio for a bit to smell the flowers and then to watch some college baseball today from Austin since it got rained out yesterday.
Friday is almost over and so is May! We had another 7/10" of rain today. So are you ready for the Pilgrims???
You know.. Mayflower? I have company coming in an hour so guess I had better get the house picked up a little.
Don't forget to share your smile, even in the rain! There are so many hail damage claims that have been filed already. And some are still repairing their house from the freeze and broken pipes. We are supposed to have our first 90 next week!!
The sun is shinning , birds singing and the grass is getting greener. My, My the beauty of spring is such a treasure to see. It makes one giggle, smile and start to dig in the flowerbeds just for the fun of it. May you have a delightful day. Smiles Gloria
There are no words to tell you how blessed we are today and everyday. The rain bombarded us at 3 am and we ended up with 2" total. But north of Fort Worth (Keller, Saginaw and other areas) had very large hail.
And it did lots of damage. The news showed areas like hotels, apartments, and car rentals where almost every car in the parking lots had the back windows totally shattered or lots of holes in them.
We had lots of thunder and lightning but no damaging winds or hail. And even though we had 2" of rain, we were on the edge of the storm as an area near Waxahachie reported 7" from last night.
I am so very thankful that all the plants I put out in the yard didn't get beat up, but seem to be thriving. Praying that those of you who needed rain got it and none of you had damage from storms.
Yes Laya is 6 months old and a very good dog so sweet. My two youngest sons are on vacation in Vegas having a great time. It got up to 85 here and I got all my house plants out on the wrap around deck finally! I love this time of year and my pineapple plant has a baby pineapple growing on it. I hope to take pictures tomorrow to show you and everyone else. Have a good night my friend and glad you had a good day too!

Are you still puppy-sitting? How'd it go today? It was a nice 82 with a great breeze The moon was beautiful last nite, but is clouded over tonite - can't see it. Sleep peaceful tonite. Hugs, Wendy
Here we are into another week, Tuesday already. I paid a few bills... UGH! Hubby is mowing because tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday is a chance of up to 3-4" of rain. Our backyard creek is just now dry enough to mow today.
Sun, clouds and rain are competing for our attention. And the pink moon was beautiful last night. We all had to catch it in between the clouds moving in and out.
So when you have time stop by and leave me a note and know that I am sending your Blessings & Hugs!
Thank you for your nice comment, sorry I didn't have a chance to send one out today. I'm puppy sitting for my youngest son and she's keeping me busy! lol
