My goodness this week flew by fast while I was enjoying my moments of the day doing this and that and that and this with my lifes moments. Such a pleasant winter day in our area . Hi Wendy, yes the iguanas were falling from trees in South Florida because the cold makes them go into a trance apparently. If one falls on me he'll be dead if I don't die of fright first. lol. I'm afraid of all reptiles!! They are an invasive species and I wish all the people who turn them loose would fall in a deep hole somewhere. I have strong opinions concerning invasive species. haha. We are having a rainy Friday morning here but supposed to clear up later and be a sunny weekend. Hubby is glad about that since he wants to finish up some outside projects. Hi Wendy, we've had a chilly week but it's gradually warming up now I can tell. I just went outside and uncovered my hydrangea and moved a few plants out to the deck. How were your air fryer pork chops? I made a pot of sausage and kale soup yesterday and some rice. Sure seemed like a good soup day since the temps never made it out of the 40s. Got out early yesterday for my tutor lessons and was glad to get back home to my cozy house and coffeepot. lol. What have you been up to besides cleaning? Nothing much on tap for today. Hi Wendy, sounds like you had a busy weekend and that Rich had a nice birthday. Always nice to have a cake and someone sing to you. My hubby doesn't care if he has cake anymore but I do! lol. Your spaghetti sounds good. Haven't made any in awhile. We are cold here too, not as cold as you I expect and way too far too south to get snow but it feels cold to us Florida folks. lol. Winter took it's sweet time getting here. We had blooms and green grass sprouting it's been so warm. At least we have sun today so while it doesn't FEEL nice out there it looks nice. I have all my plants indoors except the very biggest heaviest ones and have them covered of course. We thought about a field trip today at a local Water Springs with the girls but it's too cold for outside activities on the water. They have glass bottomed boats and when you take the tour around the Springs you can see Manatees, along with lots of other wildlife of course. Pretty neat. Will save that trip for warmer day. 47 now with a cold wind. No plans today. Hubby doesn't get the holiday off each year for MLK day but he had a nice long break at Christmas. He finished my steps out back started redoing the front steps. He stays busy for sure. Hope your day is good and you are keeping warm inside. cozy hugs, Beth
The cold weather finally hit us after all the warm weather we've had. I noticed the other day my buttercups, daffodils and forsythia are all blooming. It's such a beautiful site to see during this cold weather. I hope your having a great weekend and have a wonderful Sunday!
