Hi Wendy, sorry to hear you've been sick. Are you feeling better? We are warm and foggy here again today. Such an odd combination. lol. We have cold on the way for this weekend. Back to dragging in the plants I guess. I've been looking for some plastic planters lately to repot some of them. Will have to check the Dollar store I guess. Nothing new going on here. Been out and about the last 2 days running errands. Enjoy your day and sure hope you are feeling lots better. love n hugs, Beth
Thanks again for the graphic "gift"; she is now on my page. I tried to reciprocate, but your mailbox is full and won't accept another word. In that case, here she is....!
Hey there, you sound just like me with your hair...I want mine cut and as soon as I have it cut, I wish i hadn't. lol. A week or so later and I'm used to it. Did you get any of the storms yesterday/last night? We had very gusty wind the whole day here and it hard rain last night. Our power went out too but not for very long, thankfully. My son loves all the John Wick movies and has seen them all. I haven't seen them yet. We watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood recently. I do NOT recommend as the first 2 hours were mostly boring and it finally got good in the last 30 minutes or so. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day.
Good Morning, much warmer today and I don't mind. Rain and storms on the way tomorrow night. I have to get out today and pick up meds and some more items so I better get off the Hill and get going. Happy weekend!
Just found your message about the snowmen you made. We made similar ones with baby socks one time. White baby socks for the body and face and a colored baby sock for the hats. Stuffed with cotton balls and hot glued buttons on their fronts. Their noses were teeny orange pipe cleaners. They were so cute and still have some I put on my tree every year. It's warming up here now and feels liek a Spring day. I have all my plants out on the deck to soak up the sun and rain and hope I can leave them there for a few days. Talk to you soon. love, me
Good Morning, yep, had a good day yesterday. My brother came for lunch and it was nice to visit with him. We had a day much like yours...clear, sunny and cool. We have storms on the way this weekend I hear. I got caught up on some chores around here too and so today won't have as much to do today. Hope your day is good. Talk to you soon. lotsa hugs, Beth
Also forgot to say I have a very easy apple crisp recipe that takes about ten minutes to make. It uses canned apple pie filling for one thing and that's a time saver. I'll dig it up and send it to you soon.
Hello, almost said good morning but just peeked at the time and it's not morning anymore! lol. I need to get your chicken stew recipe. Sure sounds good for a cold day. It seems I keep a pot of stew, soup or chili on this time of year. We are warming up now with lots of sun after a very chilly night. Oh I bet your geraniums are so pretty. The color they have sure is a bright, cheery red. I am going to repot my little Norfolk pine I got for Christmas. The little pot it came in is too small and flimsy for it now. Nothing planned for today except laundry and bathing both my dogs. Yes, it's bare and dark looking once all the lights and pretties come down for sure. It's the same here though I left some of my teapots and one string of fiber optic lights up for now in the dining room. All the wreaths are back in the attic along with tons of other stuff hubby put away yesterday. It felt good to get my house back to normal though. I had boxes stacked everywhere. Talk to you soon. Enjoy your day.
Hi Wendy, your day yesterday sounds like mine today...taking down Christmas stuff and dusting. Oh I love the gel clings for windows too and have them for all the seasons as well! I save and reuse them when I can but since I get most of them from the dollar tree or dollar store it's not a big expense to just buy more. I store them in ziploc gallon bags and I swear I have them tucked in every drawer, nook and cranny. haha. We have our tree down already and all the outdoor lights. Just have to tuck away all the stuff up in the attic now once hubby brings in the ladder from outside. Yes, I can believe Rich had stuff from 11 years ago. Sounds like the men in my family. Yesterday was a fun girls day out with lunch and a little shopping with the gift cards I got for Christmas. I hit the semi-annual sale at Bath & Body. Man they were packed in that store. We got rain during the night and it's turning cool. Gonna make a pot of chili tomorrow but for now it's scrounging up leftovers I guess. Talk to you. Happy weekend! lotsa hugs, Beth
Hi Wendy, hope you enjoyed your NY eve meal with friends and all the yummy food. We had a mostly quiet New Years day. Only a few fireworks down the road so nothing too loud to scare my animals to death. Sure was glad too. Yesterday I cooked blackeyed peas and ham and cornbread. No greens this year. Didnt have any and didn't want to venture out to get them. Today I began slowly taking down some of the Christmas pretties. Not taking it all down at once though. Leaving some stuff out that I enjoy a lot. We are warm and sunny here with such a nice breeze. It feels much more like an April day than January. We have rain on the way tomorrow and I expect it will be cold again after all that. enjoy your day and I'll talk to you soon. love n hugs, Beth
