Hi Wendy, glad to hear you made it back safely from NJ. My, you have been a busy girl with traveling and visting friends. I think you must have more energy than me. lol. We had storms blow through last night and it's turning cooler now. This will be our LATE Christmas weather I suppose. Without fail we get it the week before or the week after Christmas each year. (VERY rarely we get it ON Christmas, haha) Yesterday was busy with church then grocery shopping, came home and make beef stew in my instant pot and a vegetable casserole that has stovetop stuffing in it. It was good and made a ton. Hubby has been on vacation and has been redoing our deck steps. I bet he will be ready to go back to work to get some rest. lol. No plans today but will work on getting Christmas put away after New Years. Nothing planned for New Years either. We usually stay home and I might be awake when 2020 rolls in or I might not. haha. Enjoy your day! love, Beth
I Had a very busy week with two different get togethers here at home and a Christmas party. I'm trying to get everything down, put away and ready for a brand New Year.
Hi Wendy, are you back home from Jersey yet? Glad your visit with your friend was good. Do y'all make cards by hand or on the computer? I love anything artsy/crafty like that. Hope your Christmas was wonderful. We had a very nice, very warm holiday. At least we were able to sit outside with our dinner and not freeze to death. I remember last Christmas was cold by comparison. We had lots of good food and enjoyed our gift exchange. I certainly got spoiled with nice gifts. Hubby has been off work since last weekend and has enjoyed his free time. He is about to start on a new project outside, fixing my deck steps to make it easier for me to go up and down them with my bad foot. He has been hunting a little here and there but hasn't gotten anything yet. The black bear that roams our property in the Winter is back though, pics of him on the trail cam and plenty of fat racoons as well. We are warm and foggy here with rain on the way. Turning cold in time for the New year. Enjoy this last weekend of 2019 and I'll catch up with you again before the new year. love n hugs, Beth
Oh my goodness freezing rain will be showing up over night and then snow is coming by the buckets full on Saturday until Tuesday morning in our area for all to enjoy while being safe . Blizzard snow conditions off and on during these days so needless to say and I will be toasty warm indoor these days. We were to have our family Christmas gathering tomorrow and it still will come on another day but on a day Mr. Winter is done with the hissy fit.
The grandchildrend are so happy to have some more fresh snow to play with before going back to school. For me I will enjoy seeing the snow coming down while I am reading a book I received from Christmas and drinking coffee and or tea.
May you have a pleasant afternoon and evening, the best you can and may tomorrow be kind to you. Smiles Gloria
Hi Wendy, oh man all your food sounds so good. Now I am hungry. Today I started on my buffalo chicken dip and made some crescent roll cheese bites. I think tomorrow we will have finger foods to make it easier. Brrr, I bet it is very cold up there in NJ. We had a very soggy day yesterday. Rained a slow steady rain the whole day. Today we have gradually cleared up and tomorrow will be more clearing. I'm ready for some sun after all that rain yesterday. I will have family coming in tomorrow and will be busy with entertaining and just enjoying my family. Enjoy your time with your bestie and everyone else and have a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas and God bless!
Good Morning Wendy: still on the fritz but have access to another PC so I can keep in touch. Have a very good time with your family and stay safe travelling. XXXXs
Hi Wendy, we've been almost as cold as you. Yes, here in the sunshine state even. Barely made it out of the 40s yesterday and a cold wind blew the whole day. Today was a little better but far from balmy. I enjoyed the peppermint mocha coffee this afternoon and it helped to warm me up too. Was out and about running errand this moring and got my hair cut too. Oh me and hubby have reached the point you have with presents. We just tell each other what we want and we sometimes just go shopping and I get what I want and he does the same. Hard to surprise each other after this many years. haha. I am done wrapping gifts for now and it feels good. There are 2 more small ones but they are for the pets so not worried about wrapping them and one for me that I've already seen but I refuse to wrap my own gift. lol. Hope your weekend is good and Ill pop back in a day or so. Big holiday hugs, Beth
