Hi Wendy, our temps dropped as much as yours behind the rain and storms that blew through. We woke up to a very cold wind this morning. Hope your eye is feeling better today. My sister in law gets the same shots each month. I have been wrapping a few gifts along. Do you have gift bags? They sure save time. I finished up my baking on Monday. It was so hot that day I ran the AC the whole day. Hard to believe with the winter weather we're getting now. Hope you're keeping cozy and if I don't talk to you again have a safe trip to NJ. big holiday hugs, Beth
About all I got done today, Wendy, was go the hairdresser..... monumental effort as all I would really like to do is curl up somewhere warm and cosy with a good book :) :) :) Hope you had more success. Luv'n'hugs, Anne
Good Morning Wendy, I did see the full moon and it was lovely. I also made a run to the Dollar Store and Dollar tree on Thurs. Got cookie tins for the holiday goodies I'm baking and some gift boxes. Are you getting cooler temps now? We have some on the way and I'm glad. We need all the cold we can get down here to get rid of the bugs. lol. Yesterday was a gray soupy mess of fog and mist the whole day. I'm ready for some sunshine now. Tomorrow the holiday baking officially begins. Will get my granddaughter's package mailed by Tues. with some of the goodies included. Hope your weekend is filled with holiday cheer. big hugs, Beth
Just had to share this clipping. My Mother would make a fruit cake at Christmas time for the whole family to enjoy when I was growing up. Such memories! Later years married and children of our own a friend would make our family a fruit cake from her mother' s recipe of years past. It was such a treat to receive this yummy in the tummuy fruit cake for all those years. Treasured Memories! The old fashion fruit cakes were very heavy , moist and delicious. Smiles Gloria
Hi Wendy, the rain is here today finally but only spotty so far. Friday will be the best chance for rain they say. I always spend too much in Sams or Costco so I know what you mean. I let my Sam's membership expire but still have one at Costco. Both places are too far away from me to go very often unfortunately. I have done most of my holiday shopping online. The stores are mad houses each time I dare to venture in. Ugh. To answer your question about me baking...YES! lol I do a lot of holiday baking to share with family and friends. I make moose tracks in vanilla and chocolate, pecan fudge, sandies (like mexican wedding cookies) and pretzel bites with M&Ms. I enjoy it a lot and give it as gifts to a few people like church friends. We woke up to chilly gray weather today, is it cold up your way? Happy today and talk to you soon! love, Beth
The spritz cookies are now baked and I have already tested some to make sure they taste just like a spritz cookie. hahahah yummy in the tummy. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
