Hi Wendy, hope you had a nice visit/meal with your friend. How nice that you have managed to keep in touch over the years. Friends like that are few and far between. Yes it's still Summer for sure. Our pool is full of leaves and hubby began draining it last night. I miss it already. Nothing much going on here except I am going to clean off my front porch today as much as I can. Fingers crossed I don't have a heat stroke. Our rain chances are increasing by this weekend so I hope our temps will cool off. Have a pleasant day and safe trip back home! big hugs, Beth

Hi Wendy, are you back from NJ yet? We are miserably hot here. Passed a bank thermometer yesterday that said 106. Lord have mercy! We had a nice visit with family over the weekend. Yesterday while we close to that area we visited a lighthouse orignally built in 1829. Will try to upload a few pics of it as soon as I can. I'm waiting impatiently for some Fall weather to get here. Hi Wendy, yes for sure get your car checked before you make that long trip home. My engine light kept coming on recently and it was a fuse or something that had to be reset but get yours checked just in case. We are hot dry and sunny here. 98 yesterday with a feels like of 108. Good Lord, that's hot! The pool is filled up with leaves and will come down soon. We have weekend plans to attend a big 50th birthday party celebration. It will be nice to catch up with family we don't see often. We''ll be at the coast about 70 miles away and reserved a tiny house to stay in. Looking forward to the getaway. Hi Wendy, thanks for checking up on me. We are clear and dry in my part of the sunshine state and I couldn't be happier about it. I'm so glad Dorian finally moved north and hope it keeps going north and east away from all of us. Did you have a good Labor day? I guess you are in NJ by now. Hope your trip is safe there and back. My car is in the shop today getting new tires so I'm catching up on chores while I'm home. Yesterday was busy and was gone most of the day. It is in the 50's today so the heat has been turned on to take the chill out of the home. Hi Wendy, thanks for checking in with me. So far so good. As you know the storm is forecast to turn north and east. Hope it steers clear of your area too! It's a monster and the Bahamas are getting slammed right now. My heart goes out to them. Hope your weekend has been good. It's so humid here. We have been hanging at home and grilled out some ribs last night and watching football. Had plenty of leftovers too so I get the night off from cooking. I had a flat tire on my way from church today. Thankfully was only a few miles from home and hubby came to rescue me quickly. Stay safe and and I'll catch up with you soon.
