Hi Wendy, how have you been? Hope you've been keeping cool. We got rain over the weekend and from the looks of our forecast more on the way every single day this week. Yesterday we had a storm about 5 that came out of nowhere. I was cooking spaghetti and noticed it was getting cloudy then bam! We got a frog strangler all of a sudden. Did you have a good weekend? Mine was mostly quiet. Went to church yesterday then came home and cleaned the leaves out of the pool. Found some decent squash and okra on Sat and cooked the squash last night. Going to save the okra till tomorrow I guess to go with whatever my son is cooking for my birthday dinner. lol. Last week I ordered a new basic laptop on Prime Day as Amazon had good deals on them. I am now running windows 10 and so far not a big fan. Guess I'll get used to it. Have a good new week! love, Beth
I survived the hot weekend, lol 2 cool showers a day & staying in air-conditioning, as much as possible, seemed to do the trick... Luckily we're supposed to have a much cooler week :)
Hi Wendy, hope your weekend was good. You sound like me, going in to the store to buy 2 things and coming out with 80 plus dollars worth. haha. I see I'm not the only one that does that! We had a mostly quiet weekend. The daily storms have stopped so now the heat is back on full force. Blue Belle is our fav ice cream too but I hardly ever find it on sale. If you like coffee, they make a good coffee ice cream. Abby picked out cookies and cream the last time we got some. I tried some bone-in pork chops in my air fryer last night. They turned out so good. Done in 15 minutes and did not even have to flip them over. They were so brown and crispy but still juicy. Nothing much going on here, keeping cool in the AC with a nice cold drink. Hope the new week is good for you. love, Beth
What a lovely Monday day. A bit warm so will take of that with making up some ice coffee and or tea to freshen the day even more. Seems just like over night the white baby's breath bush bloomed and the lilies opened up also in the yard. Such a glorious treat to see. Summer is moving along fast, it seems and I am enjoying every bit of it. May you have a pleasant week. Smiles Gloria
This is one from a few years ago, this years haven't started with their blooms yet but it won't be long now. By the time the fruit (bananas) are about 5 in. or so in size it's time to cut the stalks back.
